    Very clean and lovely surroundings with a great on site woods for dog walk. We only stayed for one night stop over so did t really experience the whole site. Owner was extremely helpful.

    A bit too packed together for us but appreciate it’s the summer holidays. We only stayed for a night as a stop over

    We enjoyed a very peaceful break - and extended our stay as we enjoyed it so much. Great fishing on a lakeside pitch. Very friendly team Dog walk area is lovely. Best walks are a short car ride away. Hunters Moon pub recommend. Thank you

    Just remember to take both a 50p and 20p to the shower. Shower timer is very generous

    Small friendly clean site in a good location, very peaceful and safe , helpful campsite manager, and although you have to pay for the showers 20p gives you plenty of hot water.
    We really enjoyed our stay
    Disliked: 

    Wish the ice cream van had come on more than 1 night

    Good location for visiting landmarks.
    Mandy and Phil always available.
    Grass areas well maintained.
    Fishing lakes.
    Disliked: 

    Main access road runs straight through tent pitches.
    Facilities basic and grubby, although actual toilets were clean.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Lyons Gate. Unfortunately if we are not told when the toilets are grubby between cleans we are unable to keep on top of it. Yes the toilet are basic.

    Phil and Mandy were a lovely very obliging couple, nothing was too much trouble.
    Pitches were level, handy shop for bait and essentials.
    Facilities were clean and site well maintained, we will definitely be back

    A quiet, beautiful camping site. My children loved fishing and we all had a great time. Clean facilities and friendly staff. It would have been nice if the coffe shop would have been opened.

    Total peace and quiet, perfect for a restful break. My husband loved the fishing, he was out there for 12 hours every day. The best thing of all was that there was no phone signal or wifi at all so no one can spoil it.
    We stayed in the Vista caravan this time, which was a very comfortable 2 bed static, normally we would be in a tourer and we like the site so much that we are hoping for a season pitch next year.
