Lovely tranquil site superb fishing lakes and the couple running the site were very friendly and helpful

Lyons Gate is a really well maintained site. It's also very peaceful. The pitch we were allocated was next to the small pretty fishing lake and it was pleasant to sit and enjoy the quiet and the views with a morning cuppa watching other campers fishing. It's seasonal pitches are really popular so it looked very full on arrival, but not all of the caravans were in use all of the time. The toilet block was cleaned regularly and well maintained and the showers were good. The location meant that there was little to no phone reception and no wifi which was actually quite refreshing.

Was a lovely campsite nice and quiet very clean and well looked after, the couple that run are so helpful when you first arrive will definitely come back, dont get any phone signal so perfect chance to relax without the distraction of your phone

Mandy and Phil were wonderful hosts. So friendly and helpful. The site was absolutely beautiful. Well kept and clean. The woodlands are so pretty and my dogs loved it. Lots of doggy bins in the woodland area too.

Phone/internet signal is bad, but that was made very clear when we booked

The wardens were so welcoming and helpful. Phil in particular was so informative and even shared his experience with gun dog training while we were there. The site is well maintained and clean. Quiet location. No Wi-Fi or phone signal - it was lovely to escape it! Nice dog walk close by. The shop was handy too. Lovely hot showers.

Nothing to dislike but if being really critical the shower blocks are tired. However they are clean and tidy.

Easy to find , with good access from a quiet A road.
Site was very well looked after and clean.
Fantastic site if you like day fishing .
Site manager was spot on , very friendly, especially to our dogs .
Big dog walk area ( we kept ours on leads as one is a roamer )
Hunters Moon pub is 1.5 miles along trail paths ( map available in reception) Pub has free WiFi.
Absolutely no Vodafone phone reception whatsoever .

Location overlooking the lake. Managers (husband and wife) both very helpful and friendly. Quiet site. Lovely stay. 100% plan to go back soon

Husband thoroughly enjoyed the fishing. Gave it 11 out of 10. Even the rain did not ruin the weekend. Everyone was very friendly. Owners very welcoming and nothing a problem.job well done.
