Staff and food were lovely! Such a cute little Inn with all the amenities! Will Defford be coming back here! Me and my boyfriend had the lasagna and it was to die for!

The quirky outdoor spaces and fairy lights. Clean and tidy toilets and great selection of food and drinks in the pub.

We really enjoyed our first night, everything we needed. Warm welcome from Steve. He helped us with the chiminea. For the first night we had our own food and drinks, however thought we’d use the bar the second night. Food was delicious…

This was until 10pm we were told by a young woman she was no longer serving drinks as the bar was cleaned up, even though bar was busy and serving others fresh pints. We were told this by another customer in the smoking area with a fresh beer and was disgusted we were refused custom and the manner we were told.

Everything. From arrival to departure this cycle stop was a delight. The staff have thought of everything walkers and cyclists need, their service was exemplary and the locals as friendly as could be.

Zero, nada, nothing at all.

The pitch was good and next to the pub. Very welcoming. Everywhere was spotless and lots of places to sit under cover outside if needed. The shower was lovely.

We were camping for 1 night here. 2 tents in the torrential rain. We were really glad to get here and were the only tents on site.

The site is great. Good outdoor covered spaces were ideal and the Staff were great. A really peaceful sleep after an eventful days ride in the rain through the Scottish Borders.

I would definitely recommend this site to others and will be using again.

Facilities were excellent and catered for everything.
