Disliked: Feral children, noise; it was like being in a zoo. Loud music being played, people throwing their glass recycling out at 10pm. Ear plugs a must.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience was disrupted by noise. We do have a noise policy in place and have a 24 hour contact number for disturbances, but we understand that you may not have been aware of this as your arrival was after the close of reception. We conducted a check at 10pm by means of a walk around and all seemed calm at that point.
We work hard to create a comfortable and peaceful environment for all our guests. Your comments about the noise levels and the late-night glass recycling have been noted. We were not notified of any noise issues at the time and can therefore only apologise for any disturbance and assure you that this is the exception not the rule. We do hope you will visit again and give us the opportunity to provide a more enjoyable stay in the future.

Liked: Well maintained site with very good facilities. Particularly liked the grass pitches which were a good size. Staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: Access road could do with a bit of work to sort out potholes. Would help if there were shelves inside showers to put shampoo etc on

Liked: The pleasant welcome. How accommodating the site is to disabled customers. The clean facilities, peaceful stay, large pitches and handy shop. Lots of local attractions to visit.
Disliked: Lack of security after reception closes. The state of the track up to the site.

We do have a well-thought-out security system in place that balances guest privacy with safety. There is an on-site presence even when reception is closed as we live on site. A network of cameras, and 24-hour contact availability ensure that we can quickly address any issues that arise. If you would like more details of our security please do not hesitate to ask via email or when on site - I am pleased it is not intrusive but am pleased to assure you that a system is in place.
The track is at the top of our list of priorities. Thankfully it does not prevent access but I do concede it is bumpy and will be addressed as soon as the necessary permission is granted by our local council.

Liked: What a lovely site very peaceful Big pitches foot paths straight from the site takes you into the forest with/without a dog to walk also a nice big meadow
Easy walk into colford
Showers and toilets very clean plenty of hot water
Onside shop sold the basic also sold hot foodDisliked: Would have been nice to have private wash rooms for having a wash and cleaning teeth
This is just my preference not keen on brushing teeth and having a wash when people are coming in to use the toilets

Liked: Fantastic site. Well maintained and the toilet and shower block exceptionally clean. The owner helped me when my TV had packed up and I wanted to watch the football. I was allowed access to the pod and thought it was a very kind gesture.

Liked: Peaceful and laid back. Great walks directly from the site, nice walk to coleford which is a pleasant little town. For families with children, there is a really good play area at Coleford Park 10 mins walk away. Loved our 5 days in the Forest of Dean and we will be back.
