Liked: Scenery - very pretty area with lots of lakes and trees. Large clean shower/toilet blocks. Good access and central location. Decent sized hard standing pitch. Great situation next to a play barn if you were bringing children
Disliked: Just a concern - Be aware if bringing young children that the lakes/ponds are accessible- they are lovely but you’d have to be constantly watching little ones.

Liked: One of the best comp sites I have been. The Lakeview is beautiful and the camp side itself is very peaceful and the lady who runs it (Brenda) is very sweet and helpful

Liked: Quiet and peaceful site. Lovely views. Good size pitches and well spaced out. Pitches pretty level. Lots of toilets and 4 showers. 2 of the showers are electric and 2 push button, ideal when long hair to wash, having proper electric showers. Space for children to have a run around and play outside, but check for dog poo where they play first as there is a fair amount about the site. Also lake is not fenced so watch little ones. Ours were ok as we were close by and watching but could be dangerous for really small children. Beautiful views of the (small) lake from our pitch though.
Disliked: We only booked here as a last minute site, due to our original booking being flooded so cancelled our weekend. Facilities weren't exactly clean, floors and toilets very much in need of a thorough scrub top to bottom. No hand soap in the toilets (ladies or mens). No paper towel or hand dryers in either gender. Dog poo on our pitch (which was cleaned up once I found someone to report to). Rang bell on arrival and took a while for anyone to arrive. Once someone did come, we was shown to our pitch. Unfortunately we was not shown/told where anything was so had to wander round to figure out ourselves (bins not easy to find). Toilet doors could do with some hooks for coats/wash bags etc. My photos make the facilities look clean but I can assure you they were extremely grimey. One shower in the ladies is missing its drain cover, so watch your footing if showering. You'll definitely want footwear on in the showers! Need more sanitary bins in the ladies loos. This site is clearly aimed at permanent residents and touring an after thought. No WiFi (didn't bother us as had mobile signal)

Liked: Very easy to check in. Facilities were open 24/7 and we're clean. Showers were so amazing! Good location at a very reasonable cost. Look forward to staying here again in the future.
Disliked: I couldn't find where the recycling and general waste bins were but also was too shy to ask. I'm sure I would have been directed accordingly if I asked.

Liked: The pitch was perfect when we eventually got parked up after ringing the bell for attention although the lady on the phone was amazing, that said the shower blocked really does need some work which was very outdated and lots of webs / insects which was probably no issue for the lake fisherman / persons. On a positive it was quiet we arrived after 18.00 and it served a purpose.

Liked: Very peaceful, ehu and fresh water close by pitch. Smokehouse restaurant on site. Great spot for fishing. Short walk to local village and bus into St ives
Disliked: Shower block is very outdated, no motorhome service point so couldn't empty grey water. Staff was a young lad who showed us our pitch and was never seen again. The majority of the site is for people living in caravans, statics or 5th wheels and the touring aspect feels like an afterthought. The place, while being clean and tidy, just has a strange vibe to it. Not very welcoming compared to some sites but great if you just want to fish in peace.

Liked: Ground was level and site seemed quite nice.
Disliked: We took a wrong turn and was meet at our Motorhome and told to follow the lad to our pitch - he showed us where electric was and then went back to the office - later we had a few questions for him and rang the bell 3 times and waited and knowone answered the door - disappointing.

Primitive grass campsite (large)
Liked: Peaceful and clean site , toilet/showers clean but a bit dated, snack bar for hot food was open fri, sat, sun, we had a spacious pitch by the lake. Spoilt by other campers not obeying rules!
Disliked: Dogs running loose and not on leads, and someones dog was loose and crapped a few feet away from our motorhome!! when we told a member of staff he just rolled his eyes and 24 hours later it was still there nobody picked it up. Also the fishing peg had 3 fishing hooks with bait on that someone had left there and our dog grabbed one of them and tried to eat it, luckily my husband managed to prise his mouth open and get it out before he swallowed it otherwise he would of been off to emergency vet, very dangerous..so do check the fishing pegs if you have a dog with you.
