Powered grass and gravel motorhome site
Liked Pleasant welcome from onsite staff along with easy autonomous access if required out of hours. Efficient Comms for booking. Quirky location, interesting to watch lake activities and refreshments on site. Services adequate and functioning. Good dog walks from door and nice pub c.5 mins walk
Disliked Pitches small and close to access track to camping field - ok for 6m van - may be tricky for larger. WC/showers shared with swimmers/divers so everything can be very wet at peak times (think swimming pool changing area)

Power optional grass caravan site
Liked Superb location next to beautiful leisure lake with sandy beach (walking, swimming, sailing). Pitches spacious and relaxed with good shade and personal feel. Clean and functional showers/toilets/ washing up areas. Dog friendly. Welcoming and helpful owners with daily bread orders, local products (and essentials) at reception and great homemade burgers from evening snack bar.
Disliked No chemical waste emptying facility but several local villages have public Aires with emptying options.

Leven, Fife, Scotland
Fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked wide expansive grass site with fabulous views. Separate hard-standings. Views to die for across the fife coastline to the front and the striking Largo Law behind. Informal layout with no regimented pitching. Easy walk to village (10 mins) and Fife coastal path (20 mins). Adult only. Good area for dog exercising and plenty of bins. Friendly owners
Disliked bathroom facilities a little limited for number of visitors and too many other visitors felt no obligation to either limit their dog's roaming or even pick up after them (dirty owners!)

From the manager: Many thanks for your feedback and comments .As mentioned previously we have an ongoing improvement programme in place and hopefully when you visit again you can benefit from these . Thanks Chris

Powered grass and gravel motorhome site
Liked A very friendly welcome to a peaceful garden in old orchard area - nicely spaced pitches. Modern shower and toilet facilities. Very calm and relaxed. Quite close to M6 when breaking a long journey to Scotland but not very direct route sadly from the nearest motorway jct.
Disliked Lack of any external signage made arrival a bit confusing and missing the entrance is no fun down these rural lanes. This wasn't helped by a very 'jumbled ' yard area with lots of caravan storage and random stuff to negotiate in order to reach the touring pitches. Emptying the Elsan was quite an experience - that hopefully is just a temporary arrangement !!

Powered gravel and concrete motorhome site (maximum 6 metres)
Liked convenient location, handy for excellent pub, some amazing views over derwent water and open moorland and a friendly/quirky/honest feel to what is clearly a relatively recently laid out site on former agricultural land
Disliked limited showering options (one male one female) though clean and very functional could come under pressure when site is full

Powered concrete slab caravan site (no awning)
Liked Convenient, tidy and very easy /functional stopover only a few miles off the M5 near Gloucester. Easy access on site with mix of hardstanding and well tended grass pitches. Good value and handy to have a perfectly decent pub on the doorstep as well as an extensive area of woodland and open field dog-walking accessible directly behind the site.
Disliked A public water tap at the rear of one of our pitches needed to be accessed by all tent campers in that area and meant little privacy despite the well-spaced and well-screened pitches otherwise.
