Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Decent price. Great location. Quiet. Shady. Cafe on site and a bike place for problems or hire. Toilets and showers.
I had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.
Disliked Not really a dislike but it wasn't the flatest of camping areas and depending on when you arrive you might struggle to get a flat spot.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Mostly quiet but there was only 3 other people at the site
Disliked Price. £25 was far too much for what was on offer.
Allocated pitches when it's only a field with no hook up or hard standings. Let people pitch where they like. All pitches have evening sun and shade in the morning. I prefer the other way around and I couldn't do it even though there was plenty of space.
Composting loos were old and shabby
Only saw 1 tap for drinking water.
The grass needed cutting, far too long.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to write a review particularly when you obviously did not seem to have a good experience at our camp site. In terms of the pricing we took recommendations from Pitch up as to what was an appropriate amount to charge, and am sorry that you feel that this is not a suitable amount. When we first opened the camp site we allowed people to camp where they liked but we found that people pitched too close to other tents and it did not work. we have more pitches marked than we advertise so we can leave gaps between people. There were not many campers as we unexpectedly had to sort out a family emergency so closed the campsite. My godson was looking after the campsite and he did come over a few times but you were not there on each occasion. There are 3 water taps (in fact there is a 4th one in the stable yard) all with mains water. if you had texted and called i could have described to you where the other taps were or asked my godson to walk over to show you where they are. (there is a red fire bucket by each tap) The grass along the pitches has recently been cut but have let the other areas be a bit longer as we have hot weather and the grass stays green for longer As for where the sun goes that is beyond my control and many campers have said how much they enjoy watching the sunsets. i am surprised you said the compost loos were old and shabby. I have swept them in the morning you arrived and they are in fact not that old but i guess it depends on what you were expecting. Interestingly the review before yours comments on the fact they liked the compost loos typically i think the website provides a good description of the facilities at the campsite (which are also bought to life by the photos) as well as the the text which i send to all of the people who book. Perhaps you did not have the chance to review either or these which is why you had the expectations of the campsite you did.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass site
Liked Enclosed dog walk onsite and lakes to walk around. Quiet, fairly small campsite. No frills, just the perfect place to get away and relax.
Bicester is a lovely town to wander around. Several shops invited me to bring my dog inside rather than wait outside for my husband. I always appreciate that.
Disliked Unfortunately there was a group of teenagers who were very noisy until gone 1am on our first night. Luckily they left on the second day. I'm sure, had I needed to complain, they would have been warned.

Liked Stunning dog walks just across the road. Lovely food available at the pub. Half hour drive to Worthing. Very friendly hosts.
Disliked Toilet blocks in need of updating. On our second night there was a noisy group on the campsite chatting and laughing outside until the early hours of the morning, but this isn't the fault of Limeburners - just inconsiderate campers.

Liked Clean toilets, well maintained site
Disliked Very busy area even in late October, showers shut off every 10 seconds!

Liked Amazing, enclosed dog walking loop. Well maintained site with beautiful lakes. Will definitely stay again.
Disliked Showers in main women's block were tiny and impossible to use without clothes and shoes getting wet. They needed to be twice the size or have a shower curtain inside the cubicle perhaps? WiFi is not included in the cost even though, at the time of booking, PitchUp claimed it was.

Liked Lovely quiet pitch. Very friendly greeting and lots of info about the local area. Dog friendly. Clean and secure toilet/shower block. Within driving distance of several coastal towns. Large fields a minute's walk away where dogs can run freely (not secure so only if you have good recall).
Rabbits all over the place at night - lovely to see!
Disliked There are taps at every serviced pitch but they are grey water only. The drinking water tap on the toilet block didn't have a hose so we were unable to refill our tank.
The site info said hairdryers provided but it turned out you had to go and request them from the site office which is not ideal.
The hand dryers in the loos were awful. Gave up and left with wet hands every time!
