Good size pitch
Only stayed overnight on the way to Calais. Did not use facilities. Very close to restaurants and shops. The bus stops at the site and goes to the train station. Only issue was getting a ticket to get to the station. Text for ticket did not work.
Luckily the driver we had was lovely and took us to the station. We then purchased train tickets and a bus ticket for the return journey. Would be easier if you could purchase tickets on the bus or at reception.

Liked Staff were very hospitable
Site was lovely and clean
Good amenities
Very close to the beach
Only one restaurant as the centre restaurant is for fully inclusive. But the food was good.
Great swimming pools
Has a choice of restaurants near by.
Disliked Tight to get the motorhome in and out.
Bear mind you need to fill your water before you go to the pitch. It took a while to get the van on the pitch and then we found out the electricity was 3 pitches down and there was no water nearby
Pitch was smaller than stated. Was supposed to be 10x6 and more like 7.5x6.
You cannot get a taxi as there are no taxi firms nearby.
You can purchase a bus ticket but you need to purchase a ticket to return from a Tabaco shop. We could not get the app to work. You cannot purchase a ticket on the bus. We were not made aware of this and got stuck for a few hours. Which wasn’t great in 38 degree heat with two kids.

Liked Owners/staff very pleasant.
Didn’t use facilities, only one night.
They have karaoke on a Friday evening until late.
Has a bar and you can purchase snacks.
Disliked We have a large van. It isn’t really suitable if you have a long van. Very tight access and roads to the site are very tight. If you have a small van it would be okay.

Liked Owners very welcoming.
Facilities clean.
Lovely and relaxing atmosphere.
Swimming was clean.
Bar reasonably priced.
No WiFi, but did not need to use it.
Amazing views
Disliked Where you do your washing up needs to be cleaner.
Be aware the access is very steep. Not their fault, but our fresh water storage valve (which is underneath the van for some reason ) was knocked off. It’s quite tight and steep inclines to the pitches. But that’s a downside to a large van.

Showers and toilets weren’t clean. No toilet paper. Couldn’t even be bothered to show us to a pitch. Gave us some numbers to choose a pitch from and all but 1 were taken. Claims to have a shop, it does not. Has some ice cream, a few bottles of beer, and some jars with homemade items in. Be aware if you go on a Monday the local shop and restaurant is closed. Locals made it quite obvious they do not like foreigners.

From the manager: Hello Helen, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. You stayed with us from August 11th to 12th, a period when the campsite was almost fully booked, which explains the limited choice of available pitches. Regarding local shops, it is true that Mondays in France are usually quieter since many of them are closed. We are sorry that your one-night stay left you with a negative impression. Our facilities are cleaned several times a day, and most of our guests actually highlight their cleanliness, but we of course take your remarks into account in order to keep improving. Our campsite is a small, family-run place, deliberately simple and friendly, which many people appreciate but may not match everyone’s expectations. As for the pitches, we prefer to let guests choose from those available rather than assigning them. We still hope you keep good memories of your stay at Lake Paladru and that the rest of your trip in France went well. Léonie et Valentin.

Has a riverside restaurant and bar. Food was lovely, even one of our sons who is a picky eater loved his dinner. Had a bouncy castle and various other outdoor toys.
Quite close to local shops and restaurants.
Toilet and showers were lovely and clean. Has a washing machine and dryer, which is very handy. Will definitely stay here again.

Liked Quiet relaxing atmosphere. Family that own the site are lovely and very welcoming. The site is extremely clean. Fantastic views with plenty of space for the kids to play and run around. You can hire fire pits, which our kids loved having marshmallows from. Separate football field in between the two camping fields. Campsite within close proximity to beach and towns. Would thoroughly recommend.
