Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site
Liked A lovely, spacious site in a fantastic rural setting with lovely quaint villages within a few miles. The toilets and showers are excellent. There is a useful facilities room with fridge, washing up etc.
Disliked Nothing really.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site
Liked One of the best sites we visit. Fully serviced pitches including tv aerial for each pitch (which we don't use) and wifi that works really well. Very spacious site with large, well-spaced pitches. Lovely views in all directions and very quiet and peaceful. If you get clear skies, the dark sky area means the stars are amazing. The new and improved facilities are brilliant. Luxurious shower and toilet block, washing up room and info hub.
Disliked Nothing

Low Bentham, North Yorkshire, England
Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site
Liked A lovely new site with great views. Only 5 pitches, but they are very spacious and all fully serviced. The owner, Bill, couldn't be more helpful and he's a caravanner too, so he knows the ropes. Found 3 great walks straight from the site, two either side of the river to High Bentham and one up the hill behind the site.
Disliked Nothing really. Frozen water pipes, but it is January and minus 5c. Worth knowing that many pubs don't open or serve food on Mondays and Tuesdays off-season.

Austwick, North Yorkshire, England
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Location. Great views across the fields and hills near Austwick. A short walk across the field and stepping stones to Austwick village. Another easy walk directly behind the site. We thought it might be noisy, being close to the A65, but it was actually quieter than some sites further away where you hear a more or less constant roar of traffic. You only hear vehicles as they pass the entrance. Very peaceful with only 5 pitches. All fully serviced too.
Disliked Nothing of any consequence, as long as you are aware that there is no toilet & shower block.

Disliked A bit of noise from the motorway.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site (large)
Liked Beautiful rural location, yet only 15 mins walk into Kirby Lonsdale. Views of fields and hills from all touring pitches. Very reasonable winter rates and 16amp electric. Warm in toilets & showers.
Disliked Not keen on mixed toilets & showers.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site
Liked Indi does a fantastic job of running the site. The fully serviced pitches are spacious and well-spaced. The views are spectacular and the night skies are something to behold in this dark sky rural area. Each time we go there are additions and developments that improve the site.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site
Liked Beautifully presented site. The toilet block and showers are the best we've seen and have underfloor heating. Kept immaculately clean.
It is nice that the site is not flooded with bright lights as some sites are - great for seeing the night sky.
Great area for walking straight from the site. Lanes around the site are quiet and well surfaced, so great for cycling.
Disliked 50p for the showers seems mean, but you get 10 minutes drowning under a power shower, so we'll worth it actually.

Liked Everything really. Peaceful rural location. Very spacious site with large pitches (fully serviced including TV aerial) and quite a large gap between most pitches. Excellent facilities, well signed and very Covid-safe.
Great walks straight from the site.
The owners keep adding extra facilities in response to previous feedback.
Our favourite site.
Disliked Unreliable Wi-Fi signal. Unfortunately I have to use the Internet while away and our data connection is weak in the very rural location. The WiFi isn't any better, for similar reasons - the rural location.

Liked BEAUTIFUL location! Very spacious pitches. Very clean facilities. The full service pitches are a luxury we have never had before. Almost like the comforts of home. Lovely warm welcome from Indi - attentive without being intrusive. It's so good, we'd like to keep it secret, but that wouldn't be fair to the family's new business.
Disliked Nothing really. It's a long drag to the toilet waste point, but the upside is that the site is not too close to the farm sheds.

Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Small site with well-spaced pitches. Plenty of open space. BEAUTIFUL area around the site. Lots of great walks and things to see including Belvoir Castle. Lovely little villages with idyllic pubs.
The posh end with the camping pods and hard standing for caravans has very nice toilets and showers.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but pointing out the negatives to be balanced.
Disliked The grass pitch with hook up area has only one shower and the toilets are used by all the fishermen visiting the site. They were not cleaned frequently enough, so were not that great to use. You could take the short walk to the posh ones, but not sure how that would go down with the campers using them.
There was no washing up facility for this area, so you had to walk through to the one sink near the posh ones.
The main road nearby is constantly noisy, day and night.

Disliked Only slight drawback is the traffic noise from the A64.

Mini camping pod (sea view)
Liked More or less everything, starting with the unbelievable views, right from the pod door.
The pod was large, spacious, warm and comfortable. Very well equipped with heater, microwave, toaster and kettle. The covered decking had a small table and chairs and there was a pub style table and benches adjacent.
The toilet block was nearby and the facilities were excellent. Only one shower for the men, but the site was quiet, so that wasn't a problem.
The owners spotted us arriving and came over to show us the pod, explain things and check that everything was OK. A very warm welcome.
Disliked Nobody's fault, but the trucks started driving past at an unearthly hour. Earplugs would help.
