Liked Nice between the trees and nature, the first bathroom building is mostly clean. The men working in reception were very helpful and friendly.

Disliked The service we received from the women at reception was unfortunately not good at all. Especially the older woman had a very unfriendly attitude and seemed to make difficulties wherever she could. She was trying to charge us extra, even though we had already booked and paid for three people and a car. Be aware of the camping rules: apparently, you can have one large tent, motorhome or caravan for three people, but if you have two smaller tents, you have to pay extra, even when the total area of both tents is well within the 50 m² space you booked, and would be comparable to one large tent. This was particularly frustrating as we had already paid for the third person and this felt really unfair to then also have to pay that extra tent? Like, what? There was also an issue with our first night. We had added an extra night to our existing booking before arriving, expecting the same type of pitch and amenities. However, we were initially placed on a pitch without electricity. As we needed electricity, we had to move to a different pitch after the first night. Having to take down the tent and set it up all over again somewhere else was really inconvenient, especially when the extra night had been added to an existing booking in advance. The older bathroom building at the back was not clean, and the showers were quite dirty. Overall, the campsite itself has potential, but the unfriendly reception service, unexpected additional charges (that they let go in the end!), the unnecessary hassle with moving pitches, and the lack of cleanliness really took away from the experience. It felt like customer service and making things easy for guests were simply not a priority.

We would like to clarify that the amount paid to Pitchup covered only one accommodation unit, which in your case was a single tent. An additional unit was brought to the campsite, however, no extra charge was applied for it during your stay, although this would normally have incurred an additional fee. Regarding the extra night, you were initially allocated a pitch without electricity based on the information provided at reception, indicating that an electricity connection was not required.
