Hands down the best campsite I’ve stayed at! It had everything you could possibly need, plus loads more.
Dog wash, van wash, washing machines and dryers, bins, a proper washing-up room for dishes with a microwave and two electric hobs, and tons of showers and toilets. They even had family bathrooms with a normal toilet, a smaller child’s toilet, a big sink and a baby-changing area.
There was so much for kids to do, and even some gym equipment!
Electricity is metered, which I really liked, so you only pay for what you actually use. My batteries were already full from solar and driving, so I didn’t need to use any at all.
The lovely man at reception even put me on a smaller pitch to save me a bit of money because it was only me — although there was absolutely nothing small about the pitch! My van would easily have fitted with an awning out, with plenty of room left over.
I only stayed for one night as I was catching the ferry over to Norway, but I’m genuinely considering altering my route on the way back so I can stay here again. It also looks like there’s quite a lot to see and do locally, so next time I’d definitely stay longer.
An absolutely brilliant campsite and very well thought out. Thanks again to the whole team!

Liked Whitby is now very unfriendly to campervans and wild camping so I was glad I found this space short notice. Nice couple of nights here. Has a nice communcal area with pool table.

Liked Was just really a place to stay for a night or two. Loos and stuff but that's about it.

From the manager: Hi Rebecca, We are perplexed at your review as you dont really explain what 'Stuff' is, you say we had 'loos and stuff' and because of that you rate us low?? So the STUFF we have is Ehu, chemical toilet, Wifi, fresh water, waste (grey/black)) water, toilets, security barrier with security lighting and CCTV. Oh and the location means you can walk down the town and be seated in a pub or restaurant in 2 mins without having to move your vehicle. Is this what you mean by STUFF? What did you want in addition to this?? Please enlighten us because we are definately baffled!

Liked Really like that the receptionist moved me to a quieter pitch than I was first booked on due to some other guests that may have been loud. Nice little pool. I was there off season so bar wasn't open but it looks nice from the outside. Great location.
