Liked The location was a lovely place to stay the facilities were good liked the hot water machine the toilets and showers were nice and roomy we managed to get a good spot at the end so had a sea view and was nice seeing the horses running round the field was a nice walk to Ravenscar and then on to Robin Hoods Bay there’s lots of little walks nearby
Disliked Although the facilities were really nice there wasn’t enough when the site got fuller it got quite busy and there was constant queuing as the sinks were in the toilet you had to wait for the loo while others were having a wash etc also only one sink for washing up and the ice block freezer was too small for the amount of people on site could do with a chest freezer

Liked Great place to stay! Pitched up on front of cliff great views! Facilities were great toilets, showers, washing up area everything you could need fridge freezer and you can hire fire pits or bbqs and they sold charcoal and logs. Little park bit for kids and a pub that opens at 5pm absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be returning. It was only a short walk to town everything you could want
Disliked Going home could have definitely stayed longer can’t wait to return

Liked The location was nice out in the countryside
Disliked Was not as advertised the clubhouse was closed ALL weekend so had to get a taxi elsewhere also we took bbq for tea and a fire pit we weren’t allowed to use either apparently there’s a ban it did say disposable bbqs on the banner so the guy in charge went overboard and banned all bbqs totally so had to find food from somewhere else as there’s nothing on or near site,we could understand with the weather but we should have had an email or some communication beforehand so we didn’t spend money on bbq food that had to go in the bin as there’s no ice pack freezer to keep the food cold. The toilet block was near the field which was good also the sink for washing pots but the toilets were constantly in use as there were only 2 in toilets in each male and female and 2 showers in each they weren’t cleaned enough so the hand towel bin was constantly overflowing the floor was horrendously filthy I don’t know if it had anything to do with the owners being away on holiday but if your running a business it should be maintained in your absence the only person we saw was the FIRE warden!! Who was very patronising to say the least!!

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We were away this particular weekend. The bar was opened later on but no one went so it was closed up again, it was opened later on Saturday evening. I am sorry the warden went over board, BBQ's are allowed but open fire pits are not at the moment as it has been so dry. We have 2 toilet/shower blocks on site they are checked and cleaned regularly.

Liked The area was nice close to beach and Cleveland way for a walk the hotel next to the site did lovely food we had a meal there and booked for breakfast next morning everything was spot on
Disliked The ground was quite hard to get the tent pegs in the toilet and bathroom facilities didn’t get cleaned enough if at all never saw anyone doing it there was cleaning products and cloths left so don’t know if we were expected to do it ourselves. The most annoying part was the showers they don’t stay on you have to keep pressing the button and they were cold didn’t get warm at all and another annoyance was we’d put ice packs and water bottles in freezer for next day and some kind person took some of them and swapped the iced ones for there’s that weren’t which isn’t the campsites fault but obviously the not so nice clientele!!
