Great Torrington, Devon, England
Powered grass and gravel campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked A really lovely site in a rural location, site was well presented and had lots of different accommodation options from a basic grass pitch right through to a fully serviced pitch. Prices are pretty decent considering you get a generous amount of electric hookup included (5kWh on season, 8kWh off season).
Also has a dog wash, wetsuit and bike wash, and a swimming pool and bar (though we were too late in the season for the latter 2).
There is also a dog exercise area which is the only off lead allowed area of the site, but if this is not enough there is an access path to the Tarka Trail which offers miles of off road walking (or cycling).
Disliked We were on the terrace behind the car park which was surprisingly quiet, but hard to manoeuvre a larger van into the pitch without going over the grass due to the narrow access lane.

Powered gravel caravan site (small)
Liked Tucked away site in a quiet rural area behind the pub. I booked this thinking it was a pub stopover and was pleasantly surprised to find what is essentially a small fully fledged campsite out the back of the pub. It’s tucked away enough that from the pub/car park you would be oblivious it is there, but close enough that you can get into the pub easily.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in the pub was lovely.
