Liked Camped twice within a couple of weeks (weekday trip and weekend trip) and both times exactly the same soooo much space, nice walks along the river, well kept grass, toilet block was as expected minimal but solid.
Disliked Not the sites fault but more the people that stayed the weekend… instead of driving to go to the toilet maybe camp closer and walk and if you are going to drive do it at a reasonable speed.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to leave a review as they do help people when deciding where to stay. Driving too fast is hazardous for children and adults, quite a few people I talk to after seeing them speed have young children of their own! Maintenance are putting up more 5 MPH signs hopefully they will be more visible for drivers. The other option guests have if they want to be in the fields further away from the facilities is to bring a toilet tent for night time use. We look forward to seeing you again.

Liked Really enjoyed this campsite! Showers were definitely one of if not the best showers we’ve experienced while camping, hot, clean and powerful. The pitch size and layouts very good. Woods at the bottom of the field were loved by the dogs. The hosts were very friendly (Charlie and Hayley) phoned last minute to add an additional night and they sorted us out! Gave us good information about local attractions. Very well kept campsite.
Disliked Wheelbarrowing your gear down to your pitch wasn’t a bad thing but enjoy the exercise before you pitch!

Liked Everything. Two shower/toilet blocks, both a good standard, hot showers and clean. Good watching up area with 3 sinks and a freezer for ice packs. Local shop had more than expected and some. Security with friendly warden and coded gates. Cleanliness of the field, flat ground, perfectly kept grass. Our stay had a really good vibe.
Disliked The shower to last a tad longer after button press, not really an issue.
WiFi wasn’t the strongest at far end of the field but get off your phone and enjoy the outdoors!

From the manager: Hi Sorry for the late reply Thank you for your kind review glad you enjoyed your stay We do pride ourselves on our cleanliness and dads pride and joy with the perfectly kept grass We have managed to get wifi now so it is free this doesnt cover all of the field as needs electric points to jump off and all of the field is not covered with electric so is only able to cover 70% of the field Hope to see you again next year

Liked Been to a good number of campsites and this had the best pitch lay out by far, fire pit and bench within the pitch and the grass well kept. Shower was lovely and hot, good room to get changed. Multiple toilets. Pub and coop within walking distance. Football area. Washing up area was better than most but only one sink. Entrance gates being code locked. Other campers stuck to rules quiet times were quiet and kept the campsite clean.
Disliked No host, would be nice if someone came round and said hello. £12 membership fee. Area between first entrance gate and second looked rough was worried when we first pulled in but after second gate was fine. No area for frisbee!

From the manager: Hi, Sorry we missed you at the time of your stay. We are on site at least twice a day. The area between the two gates is not ours and is being landscaped by the farmer. You must of missed the football pitch. Plenty of room for a frisbee 🥏 there and on the foot paths. Thanks for the great review. Much appreciated, all the best

Liked Campsite was clean and the staff were very friendly, Shower is a lot better than it looks! Maybe too hot you just have to get it right. Not a lot to write about was very quiet during our stay. The armoury had an event on the Friday and hosted a birthday party on the Saturday, nice to hear some music. The farm shop was a positive good selection and the bacon was very nice.
Disliked Toilets didn’t have water to wash hands and instead had hand sanitiser.
Man maintaining the grounds came round on a lawnmower but only mowed the edges of the field leaving long patches seemed a bit weird not to mow the full grounds.
Washing up area was a sink next to a cold tap, ended up filling a bucket with hot water from the shower to wash the dishes.

From the manager: Hi James, Thanks for your positive feedback - we are pleased you enjoyed the shower and that the atmosphere around the farm was to your liking. The bacon is made from the pigs we have on the farm! With regards to your comments about the facilities - we appreciate that they are simple, we want to gauge the success of the site before investing in permanent facilities.
