Greeted on arrival, by the site manager who was friendly and extremely helpful. Great campsite.

Ste, the on-site warden, was brilliant helped us put our (new) tent up, all round nice guy, he also quickly turfed out an obnoxious camper who'd downed a bottle of vodka with unpleasant verbal results. It's also a lovely location and the views are good, lots of walks from footpaths close to the site. The pitch was level, nicely grassed; plenty of room and the water taps, loos, pot wash etc just a ahort walk. Lamas, Emus and Guinea Fowl in the field next to the farm add entertainment value :)

Toilet block, a portabin affair has 3 toilets, two with shower cubicles all were OK but less than ideal. Separate showers and loos would have avoided the queues but are adequate if you avoid busy times. No hot water to the pot wash sinks means you have to fill bowls with hot water from the sink(s) in the loos adding more pressure to those facilities.

Perfect little campsite. Peaceful, plenty of room and beautiful surroundings. Dog friendly and you could come and leave as you wanted. I'd highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a back to basics, quiet site. Bakewell and Buxton are only a 15 minute drive away. Great location to explore the Peak District. Steve was very friendly and approachable. Couldn't ask for a better campsite :)

If your looking for a basic quite site where kids can run and play and you can sit and chill or have a bbq with friends where Andrew the owner and Steve the site manager are great then this is the place Steve is so helpful I had problems with my electrics and Steve and Andrew went out of their way to help me and sorted them out Steve from the moment I pulled up couldn't do enough to help me it would of took me ages to set up if it hadn't been for him and when I was packing up I've saw I was struggling and and got straight off his mower to help will be back soon

Not a dislike and for me doesn't make a difference but could do with a bit of a play area but Andrew said he was looking into that
