Shower and toilet facilities , very basic, really could do with up dating

Stayed for three nights in October in a VW camper with my dog.

Easy to find, I had the whole section to myself. Camp site is on a working farm, which I liked but it was not to load. Power was as expected amd water taps at each electric point was great.

I was left to it, got a txt with a contact of I needed it.

I had an electric hardstanding pitch, well looked after with plenty of space for motor homes and grass area. Slightly sloped but perfect, only notices the slope when I was cooking!

Site is close to a lot of local public paths for hikes.

Facilities was a well used wooden cladded cabin split into a single toilet and a toilet shower room plus a shared single sink with hot water heater to the side. Hot function on the electric shower did not work, so only used it once after a muddy hike in the fog. The cabin also had an outside wash up area, hot water was from a electric water heater from inside.

Electric hard standing was clean and tidy.

Toilet and shower facilities were basic and need much improvement

Turkeys wandering around outside my campervan could have put them at risk if my dog was anymore reactive!
Keep the livestock contained for their safety!!

First morning the shower didn’t work, site owner fixed. Second morning the shower worked but no hot water. I called at 7.53am, no answer, text him. He arrived 20 minutes later by which time I didn’t have time. Very disappointing as only booked as had a shower

Good value for money, clean showers and toilets and a great location for multiple nearby hikes.

Location was beautiful and it was lovely to see the animals.

Unfortunately there were quite a few issues with the site.
The site is extremely exposed, so the winds got very rough. There was also a lot of machinery and noise going on until late in the evening.
During our visit did we never saw a member of staff, and when we arrived the facilities were dirty for days and I had to ask if they could be cleaned.
The facilities themselves are extremely basic, with only one shower for the whole site with poor water pressure. The washing station has no hot water and was covered in grease so unusable.

Good size level pitches. Good location for walking.

Basic amenities but all good

Lovely well kept grass, nice toilet facilities with a nice glass door shower was perfect for our needs! Water points everywhere too! Lots of wildlife including donkeys, llamas cows and chickens!

Not much to do within walking distance have to drive for anything substantial, nearest pub is 40 minute walk and it’s not a nice walk either !

We loved how peaceful it is, local to other villages too.
