Set in a peaceful location 500 metres from the coast, WeCamp Cudillero is a popular family campsite in Asturias. This site is close to lots of scenic spots, including dramatic cliffs, old lighthouses, traditional old fishing boats, towns with narrow pedestrian streets and inviting white-sand beaches. The area is well-known locally for its laidback feel, which you can experience for yourself in the pretty town of Cudillero, the centre of which is under five minutes' drive from base. Surrounded by trees and greenery, the pitches at WeCamp Cudillero are spacious and well maintained. There are good facilities for campers, including an area for filling up and emptying out water, toilets, showers and a manual chemical disposal point. Well-behaved pets (on leads, por favor) are welcome to join you, and leisure facilities like a kids' play area and bike hire are other nice bonuses. Handily, Cudillero has almost everything you could possibly need during your stay, including supermarket facilities, several friendly bars and a number of good places to sample local seafood. It's also a very scenic spot to spend a few afternoons, particularly if you hang out close to the water's edge around the harbour. Looking to spend some time exploring a bigger city? The historic port of Gijón is just over half an hour away by road.

  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 05/05 and 15/09 (subject to weather conditions).
  • The restaurant is open between 01/05 and 30/09.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • A cable measuring at least 5 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Liked Teníamos una parcela grande con mucha sombra. Los baños muy limpios (limpiaban dos veces al día) y muy grandes (mientras limpiaban una zona se podía usar la otra). Mucho césped y muy bien mantenido el camping. Muy amables en recepción. Piscina tranquila y agradable (aunque le falta algo de césped donde poder tumbarse).

Disliked Los horarios de actividades no estaban bien puesto en la app, lo que llevó a confusión. El supermercado con poco producto y bastante caro, así que para tan solo algo de emergencia. La relación calidad/precio del camping no me pareció la mejor, se estaba tranquilo, pero he visto campings mejores por ese precio. No hay actividades para hacer cerca a pie, hay que salir siempre en vehículo. El restaurante no abre a mediodía. El wifi no llegaba a nuestra parcela.

Liked Het mooie plekje wat we kregen toegewezen nadat we in onze oorspronkelijk plek niet pasten. Vriendelijke werknemers.
De heerlijke yoga bij het zwembad.

Disliked Geen water in de ochtend voor het dochen maar vooral de toiletten die niet doorgespoeld konden worden.

Liked El concierto de sábado noche con música suabe y relajante.

Disliked Lo peor es que llevamos 3 días intentando contactar con el camping por todos lo medios, teléfono, email, buzón de voz, chat, redes sociales, y no tenemos respuesta.
Nos dejamos la bicicleta del niño y queremos acordar el envío de un transportista y no esta siendo posible.

En la propia estancia, fueron los trabajadores propios del camping quienes más ruido hicieron de noche en sus casetas de madera, además hablando de forma muy malsonante.

Dos mañanas sin agua en los baños, y una gestión de parcelas descuidada, sin asignación previa aún teniendo reserva, comentando: "Prueba a aparcar en esta a ver si puedes maniobrar". No puede ser ¿y si no cabe la autocaravana?
¿Y el mismo precio de parcela cuando son muy distintas de tamaño?

Y con el recinto grande que hay en la piscina... ¿por qué tan pocas hamacas? Se llenan muy pronto.

Local attractions

There's absolutely loads to do in the local area here, with brilliant beaches, some great hiking trails, adrenaline-fuelled watersports and everything in between. What follows is a list of just a few suggestions – for more information, including the low-down on seasonal activities and special events, make sure to head to the tourist office in the centre of Cudillero (under five minutes' drive). For sea kayaking, head to either the centre of Cudillero or, for a change of scene, wend your way down the coast towards Luarca (30 minutes), where there's a large sheltered harbour that's good for beginners. While you're in the area, you might like to pay a visit to the nearby El Parque de la Vida science museum (30 minutes), especially if you're travelling with kids. If you're into hiking, you can take your pick of the coastal walks on offer in the local area. Alternatively, drive inland instead, where you can explore three natural parks, all of which are within an hour and a half's radius: Somiedo Natural Park with its pristine lakes, Las Ubiñas-La Mesa with its ancient forests and mountains and, over the border in Castile and León, Babia y Luna Natural Park, home to one of the largest and most attractive reservoirs in northern Spain.
