  • Well-appointed beachfront site near A Pobra do Caramiñal
  • Staff help organise boat trips and watersports activities
  • Opposite a family-friendly beach; sea views from the bar-restaurant
There is, of course, a beach at A Coruña's Camping Playa Ria de Arosa. Dirctly accessible from the site, in sandy fact, a golden stretch with calm, shallow waters for safe family-friendly days... and next to another beaut beach for more of the same; the site overlooks both. Hire a canoe from the team to take out onto the water within a minute or two of here, or bag a bike or quad bike to take off along down the coast. There's scuba diving, waterskiing, windsurfing and surfing all nearby too: just ask on site for help in booking an excursion in any. Elsewhere, it's all spectacularly scenic around this region for coastal ambles and bike rides, or for other seaside and sandy adventuring at resorts like A Pobra do Caramiñal five minutes' drive away. Sandy times can be sorted on site at the beach volleyball court too, or you and the kids could bounce around at the trampolines, multisports court, ping pong table and playground. A kids' club runs in the mornings in high season, along with evening entertainment for all ages. Eats are covered at the café-restaurant, to have indoors or on the covered terrace, and drinks at the bar where you can blissfully sip cocktails under the sun among the sea views from the terrace. Bars and restaurants are a short walk along the beachfront if you'd like to venture out in search of more sustenance,.

Local attractions

Beaches, again of course: spend sandy times at Cabio and Lombiña beaches within a minute or two, or make for the sands – and famed harbour– of A Pobra do Caramiñal three kilometres away. More sands, high dunes and nature spotting days are 20 minutes' drive west at the Dunes of Corrubedo Natural Park, a Special Protection Area for birdlife. Around 1,000 hectares of sandy heights are here, including the park's highest dune at a kilometre long: drop into the visitor centre to find out more, or to pick up routes for the three waymarked walks. History buffs have the Dolmen de Axeitos site within 20 minutes for rambles around a megalithic tomb, and the seafront Celtic fortress of Castro de Baroña half an hour away for heritage of a somewhat more modern sort. One of the most visited places in Spain, and the finishing point of world-famed pilgrimage route the St James's Way, is just under an hour away.
