Spain, Galicia, and direct access to a sandy beach from a seaside site... that's a holiday checklist tick or three right there. Have a sand-based or a hiking holiday at Camping Green Village: the beach next to the site is sheltered and safe for swimming, and there's spectacular hiking around the mountains and coastline of the Green Village surrounds. Your splendid Galician base is in the coastal village of Gandario, under 10 minutes' drive from the nearest town of Bergondo and 50 minutes' drive inland from the world-famed pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela. Half that distance in the other direction is the fab port city of A Coruña and the Tower of Hercules… and from there you'll need at least a day or two around the bays and craggy coast of the Rías Altas part of Galicia's north coast… A bar and restaurant are on site for idle times when you're not lounging on the beach or honing your paddling/splashing skills in the Galician sea; if you prefer DIY dinners, a barbecue area is also to hand.

Great spot by the beach, with top-notch staff. Families love the vibe and cafe/courts. Some facilities are a bit old but clean. Watch out for access in the dark and occasional late-night noise.

Liked Friendly staff. Level pitch. Clean water and grey waste on pitch. Bread van about 12 noon. Proximity to beach and the beach. Fabulous white sand and combed. Not busy mid week. And the sea was warm for the Atlantic.. Size of pitch. Very quiet in the morning. Boho easy relaxed vibe to the site.

Disliked Facilities are old and could do with renovating although well maintained. There weren't enough toilets so overuse led to not being the cleanest. No hot water for wah up. We didn't use the showers because we were told the hot water could be in predictable. Lots of noisy children at nursery ght past midnight and we were warned that the bar disco might go on into the night. Luckily we weren't there for a weekend and it didn't. Lots of permanent Spanish camp set ups for the season probably because of the grey water and fresh water to each site but everyone was friendly. Noise from.the youth sailing school summer camp down the road.

Liked Mi è piaciuta la posizione vicino alla spiaggia e dei meravigliosi tavoli da picnic su cui ho pranzato in tranquillità e silenzio. A pochi minuti di distanza c'è una cittadina molto servita, con lavanderie bar gelaterie e panifici ecc
Le piazzole del campeggio hanno l'erba e sono molto grandi , e sono stati molto cordiali nell'accoglierci.

Disliked Non mi sono molto piaciuti i servizi igienici e soprattutto le docce che avevano le porte tutte rotte, inoltre c'erano parecchie ragnatele in giro.

Liked Brilliant, guys running the place never stopped smiling and easy to talk to.
Clean showers and toilets,
Hardly any noise at night.
1 min walk to beach.
Food good drink cold and spot on.

Disliked For me it could just do with a little TLC,
When you pull in it’s like a chair dumping ground,
But this was my only Dislike

Disliked tout le service est déplorable, le camping est sale. personne ne respecte les autres . les enfants ainsi que les parents crie et joue jusqu’à plus le minuit et laisse tourner leurs moteur de camion par la même occasion .

Liked El ambiente del Camping y la cercanía a una playa que advierto a los que lleven mascotas, no los admiten de mayo a octubre, pero que si vas fuera de esos plazos o sin mascota, te aseguro que vas a disfrutar de unas preciosas vistas ni bien salgas del camping y gires la cabeza a la izquierda.

Las instalaciones como tal están bien, tienen un encanto de época y la verdad, es un sonido visual que agrada en una época en la que el Beige y el minimalismo excesivo nos rodean y acechan en cada esquina.

Por la parte de la atención, una chica muy encantadora y autentica.

Disliked Ya como mencioné, las instalaciones tienen una edad, por lo que como tal, tienes cosas de su época, pero se llevan bien, no es que tengas que atravesar mazmorras ni nada, son simplemente algunas comodidades que no existían en su época, que te pones a pensarlo y son pijadinas, por lo que no diría que son grandes detalles a los que darles mucha importancia.

Disliked Sucio en general. Viejas las instalaciones, poca agua, a veces se acaba y a las horas típicas de ducharse no hay agua caliente. Todo viejo y algo sucio.

Liked L’ambiance de ce camping familial et l’accueil de Jasmine et de Damien. Ils font tout pour que nous nous sentions bien ! Des véritables amours. Blocs sanitaires anciens mais propres. La mer a 3 m de la sortie du camping.

Disliked Les enfants qui ne tirent pas la chasse d’eau mais hélas c’est partout.

Windsurfing and sailing are top picks from Gandario beach if your tastes tend towards the more energetic, or you could set off on the three-and-a-half-kilometre coastal path hike to nearby Sada. If you're feeling energetic indeed, cut through countryside on the 20-kilometre tramp to A Coruña for a highly virtuous sample of the city's bars and restaurants. A Coruña's a must-see however you get there: Galicia's second most populated city is teeming with stuff to see and do including its medieval Old Town and several museums including the Castle of San Antón Archaeological Museum and the Unión Fenosa Museum of Contemporary Art. If you only have time for one attraction, make it the Roman Tower of Hercules, a lighthouse that's been flashing over these waters since the second century; it's now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Those on holiday with little squirts should arrange a day at Aquapark Cerceda (40 minutes' drive away) for a splashingly splendid day among its flumes, pools and huge slides.
