Motorhomes and campervanners: pull in and pitch up here to be close to Alicante, even closer to the beach, and yet closer to public transport links so you can restfully relax your weary driving self. Camper Area 7 is a motorhome and campervan site niftily set on the edge of the resort of El Campello, 11 kilometres from Alicante. It's a 10-minute promenade from here to the resort centre and to spectacular Muchavista beach, a wide sandy stretch with watersports rentals, an accessible area for beach buffs with reduced mobility, and a packed summer programme of events including outdoor film screenings. Cast keys merrily aside once you're all parked up at Area 7, as it's a cinch to get around from here by public transport, foot or bike. A bus stop is just outside the gates, and a tram line runs alongside the beach in a splendid scenic direction as far as Alicante. Everything else you need is within walking distance, including several restaurants and bars, a small supermarket and other shops within a few minutes' walk. (If you want to stock up further, a bigger supermarket is a kilometre away.) Camper Area 7 is a spacious site, with roomy hardstanding pitches and a good range of amenities. Leisure facilities include a playground, a pétanque court and cosy guest lounge with a fireplace and comfy sofas so you can take things properly easy among your sand and surf days.

Lovely site, super clean loos & showers, great washing gear. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Handy spot for the beach, shops & getting to cities like Alicante. Pitches are good sizes. A few folks wanted more shade and found advertised facilities like the pool weren't quite right.

Liked Good wc and shower capacity.
Friendly resepsjonist.
Quite close to the beach.

Disliked Was told to park among those long term parking people with all kind of stuff on the pitch and packed with tarpaulin blowing in the wind .

Liked Nice friendly site and easy walking distance to the beautiful beach’s.

Disliked When we stayed it was breezy and the dust from the gravel pitches meant we couldn’t stay outside to eat or relax. Just unfortunate timing.

Liked Tout d'abord l'accueil en français et avec le sourire. Notre emplacement assez spacieux avec entre chaque des haies verdoyantes.. Les sanitaires et coin vaisselle très propres, il y a même des machines à laver. Les services, eau, vidange nickel.

Liked Per essere la nostra prima esperienza in campeggio e in camper ci e piaciuto molto, il campeggio è riservato con addirittura un orario di silenzio per il comfort di tutti, molto accogliente e il vicinato sono tutti educati e cordiali, intero campeggio è pulitissimo, i bagni e le docce sono curatissimi, è molto ben servito con i trasporti pubblici avendo la fermata del bus davanti al ingresso, il mare è meraviglioso è molto vicino. sicuramente ci piacerebbe tornarci! Ci siamo innamorati a tal punto che proseguendo la vacanza a benidorm ci siamo pentiti di non aver prenotato più giorni in questo posto meraviglioso! Grazie a tutto lo staff!! ❤️

Liked Easy booking process and an efficient friendly check in.
Large pitch. Decent facilities.
Really nice beach and paseo a short walk away.
Took a tram to Villajoyosa for the day. Lovely place to look around.
Site manager was very friendly and helpful when we had an electric cable issue.

Disliked Other campers thinking you like to listen to their barking dogs.
Having to shoo one out of the van that was wandering about freely.
This isn’t the fault of the site.

Local attractions

Get straight to the beach for sunny hours of basking and wandering, on a huge golden expanse with clear clean waters, lifeguards, a Wednesday market, and nightly music/ mucho food and beers from the Muchavista chiringuitos. Away from all the sandy sunbathing, surfing, windsurfing and paddleboarding are available at Campello Surf Club about a kilometre from the site, and sailing lessons at Club Náutico de El Campello within two. Or swing along to the 18-hole course at Alicante Golf six kilometres away. Close to Alicante Golf is the beach of San Juan, which you can wander to in about 45 minutes. More restaurants and beach bars await here to slake post-walk hunger or thirst, before you stretch out on a sunbed and contemplate the walk back. However long you're staying for, make definite time for the spectacular tram ride from Muchavista along the seaside to province capital and port city Alicante. If you're up for a walk, hike up to famed landmark Santa Bárbara Castle, overlooking Alicante since the ninth century; if not, take the mountain lift up, or just amble around the waterfront, Explanada de España promenade and Alicante museums, to take in the vibe of this excellent old city.
