What a gorge location has quiet Cataluña site Camping Serra De Prades. It's high up in the Prades mountains (920 metres high up, to be exact), between two nature reserves, and is within an hour's drive of Tarragona and top Catalonian attractions like Salou's PortAventura amusement park. Closer to home, several wineries are within 15 minutes...
The park has excellent sports facilities including two heated seasonal outdoor pools, a football pitch, a basketball court and a playground. Daily sports and activities are organised throughout the summer (some subject to extra charges), and a full entertainment programme including a kids' club is also on offer to guests. And around the Serra de Prades? Spend your days tackling canyoning, mountain biking, via ferrata, high-up hiking, climbing... or scuba diving and snorkelling from Costa Durada beaches: the friendly site team can arrange trips for you or point you in the right direction.
Foodwise, Camping Serra De Prades has a well-stocked supermarket to pick up essential bits, and the comely Els Ceps restaurant serves tasty dishes from Catalonia and around the world: it has a daily menu, a kids' menu, a pizzeria service, tapas, a fireplace bar, spacious terraces with splendid mountain views...

As it's surrounded by the Muntanyes de Prades mountain range, Camping Serra De Prades is in a tiptop spot for active options like climbing, hiking, canyoning and cycling – if this sounds a tad too energetic, the option of sitting and gazing over the views of Poblet and Montsant is always there too.
For nature spotting, the site is set between the Poblet and Montsant nature reserves, home to many mammals and birds of prey; find out which species to spot at the info centre at each reserve.
About 12 kilometres away, the Poblet Monastery, or the Reial Monestir de Santa Maria de Poblet/Royal Abbey of Santa Maria de Poblet, is one of the biggest Cistercian monasteries in Spain, one of the most complete in the world and the first in Catalonia's Cistercian triangle; it's now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The port city of topping Tarragona is 50 minutes' drive away and has piles of Roman ruins (also UNESCO-recognised), a 12th-century cathedral, the Aqualeon waterpark and several award-winning beaches.
