Spanish seaside hol: sorted. Girona's Càmping Cadaqués is in Cadaqués, the Med seaside town so splendidly scenic it was a fave of Dali and Picasso and has been flocked to by artists for centuries. (When you get there, you'll see why.) Càmping Cadaqués has modern facilities including a sports area with a tennis court and two ping pong tables, and a pool overlooking the sea (for adults and children alike), as well as an area with sunloungers. There are also two amenities blocks and a laundry and washing-up area with washing machines, dryers and irons. The on-site restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine and international cuisine to have on the terrace under the sun or stars; there's live music in high season too, for musical Spanish seaside suppers under a warm starry sky.

Liked: Proximité du centre de Cadaqués à pieds mais il faut être en forme le retour monte ++

Disliked: Papiers WC non renouvelé régulièrement Emplacement trop étroit. Propreté des sanitaires à amélioré Erreur dans la facture ,la réservation n'avait pas été prise en compte et l'emplacement et électricité surfacturé.Remboursement fait après réclamation.

Liked: Very clean and tidy site. Fabulous toilets and showers. Restaurant has amazing views. Pool looks great although wasn’t open when we stayed in March. Staff are friendly and efficient. 10 min walk to the sea front. Best site we have had stayed on.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Clean and very smart facilities. Smart reception area too. Lovely bar, restaurant and pool area (although the latter was closed due to the time of year). Great views from one part of the site. Cadaqués itself is lovely too.

Disliked: Our allotted pitch felt a little hemmed in (surrounded by buildings) - when I was expecting lovely sea views as shown on Pitch Up. I found the sea view area (which really was lovely), but that was apparently full. Conclusion: photos on Pitch Up were a little misleading. Probably wouldn't have booked if had known where we would actually be situated.

Local attractions

Càmping Cadaqués is a short drive from Cap de Creus, the peninsula on Catalonia's northeastern tip that doubles as a national park. It's spectacularly scenic here (Dali painted the peninsula in his melting-watch work The Persistence of Memory) and a haven for peaceful wanders, boat trips and birdwatching. Also within easy reach is Port Lligat, the small Cap de Creus village where Dali lived for over 50 years and now with the Portlligat Museum-House in his former home celebrating his life and work. Perspective can be a bit skewed here, so perhaps don't have a Spanish wine or three at lunch before going in... Walking tours, bike hire, kayak, sailing courses, diving, hiking and fishing are all available nearby: ask the Càmping Cadaqués team for recommendations.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between midnight and 8 a.m..

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.

Safety

Open fires are prohibited.

General

Quiet hours must be respected between midnight and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.

Reception

Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 30/06 and 31/08.
Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. between 01/09 and 31/10.

Pool

Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
