There are two particularly excellent things about the little site of Cavall De Mar in Catalonia's Girona region: firstly, it's just 200 metres from a splendid sandy beach, and secondly, it's only five minutes' drive away from the centre of Blanes, the old and attractive Roman town at the start of the stretch of the Costa Brava. Pass the beach towels… Cavall De Mar is a small, quiet and family-run site, with facilities firmly aimed at all ages: a swimming pool (open during high season only), a playground, table tennis and a sports field with a pétanque area for all sizes. If any of those make you feel thirsty, just head on over to the site's bar, which serves tea, coffee and juice. When it comes to everyday needs, the site also has a modern toilet block with disabled-friendly access and a baby bath; a washing-up area and a launderette are also on hand. You'll likely like the lay of the land around Cavall De Mar: the site is right at the start of the sandy stretch of Costa Brava running up to France, near several lush beaches. Barcelona is an hour's drive away.

Spend at least a couple of days in Blanes (five minutes’ drive), the ancient Roman town that's now a top tourist spot on the Girona coast for its mountain-surrounded beaches and coves, its botanical gardens and its huge summer fireworks competition – so good it'll have the kids turning cartwheels… Nearby seaside town Malgrat de Mar (15 minutes) is another popular stop on this part of Spanish coast, along with the River Tordera a little bit inland, for a quieter vibe birdwatching and nature spotting, or getting onto the water for windsurfing or kitesurfing. Also in the area, make a splash at local waterparks Marineland Catalunya (10 minutes), home of many a marine mammal too, and the wave pools, rivers and waterslides of Water World Parc (20 minutes), up the coast in Lloret de Mar.

Great spot near the beach! Clean facilities & pool a hit. Tent sites and general tidiness praised. One camper had a tight spot, while a smaller vehicle got a bigger one. Manager says it's booking-based, bigger sites available for purchase.

Liked Camping is voortreffelijk.
Alles keurig netjes. Personeel vriendelijk

Disliked Jammer dat wij met een normale camper een bijna niet toegankelijke kleine plaats kregen en diegene net na ons een grote makkelijk toegankelijke plaats kregen terwijl hun een kleine buscamper hadden.
Verders absoluut geen commentaar!!

De klant waar u het over heeft, had een perceel van dezelfde grootte als dat van u (65 m²). Als u een groter perceel nodig had, had u de mogelijkheid om er een te kopen (85 m²).
