Have a try of Camping 3 Estrellas for a Spanish stay, set in a pine forest next to a beach with over 10km of coastal promenade – but only 12km from the ancient sights and more sands of Barcelona (there's excellent bus access into the city too). For days when you're not city sightseeing, Camping 3 Estrellas has laid on all you might need to stay put: swimming pools, a restaurant serving fresh local food, a supermarket with fresh and frozen produce plus souvenirs, and a five-a-side football pitch as well as courts for tennis, basketball and pétanque. (There's a volleyball court on the beach too.) Amenities are also well sorted, with modern loo and shower blocks with free hot water, and a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers. Camping 3 Estrellas has high-speed wifi in all its facilities areas, and if you want to leave the laptop at home, computers with internet access are in the bar.

Fantastic beachfront spot with direct beach access and sea views. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and the place is spotless. Easy bus to Barcelona. Some found pitches great and facilities well-equipped, though bathrooms are a bit dated and there's occasional plane noise. Most want to come back!

Liked The supermarket was handy and convenient. The washing machines worked well.

Disliked This site is at the end of the busy main Barcelona runway, jet engine noise starts at 07:00 and continues every five minutes until 22:00 .
The electricity supply trips out if you try to use a kettle . When I reported the problem I was told by the receptionist that all campsites in Spain were the same.
Of all the sites we have stayed at in 6 years of camping , this is the only one where we had this problem.
The toilet /shower block does not have enough good hanger for towels or clothes . The floors are dirty . The cubicles are small and graffitied .
The bus service into the city is complicated unreliable and directions from the campsite reception were poor.
I will not return to this site.

Disliked Dieser Campingplatz ist nicht geeignet um in Ruhe zu kommen, bitte in der Beschreibung deutlich machen.
Extremer Fluglärm bis spät abends.
Alle Einrichtungen in die Jahre gekommen.
Keine kontinuierliche Instandhaltung.
Sehr viel Schmutz durch den Regen auf den Zufahrtwegen und auf dem Stellplatz.
Straßenlärm deutlich hörbar. Umgebung nicht einladend für Spaziergänge. Man fühlt sich regelrecht eingesperrt.

Liked Für ein paar Tage um sich Barcelona anzusehen ist der Campingplatz sehr gut gelegen. Er liegt direkt am Strand. WC und Duschen sauber. Personal sehr freundlich.

Disliked Die Wege müssen unbedingt verbessert und ausgeschüttet werden. Es sind so große Löcher 90×70cm dass man bei Regen nochnichtnal durchlaufen konnte vom Klo aus zum Camper. Durchfahren war eine Katastrophe und die anderen Mieter haben ihre Dekorationen so nah am Wegesrand dass man in die engen Stellplätze sehr schlecht reinkommt.
Die Putzfrau hat um 9Uhr morgens so laut rumgeschrien wegen den Katzen dass man nicht gut gelaunt wach werden konnte.
Sehr schade , und es ist auch gar nicht mehr 3Estrellas sondern Holacamp. Seltsam
Für 2Nächte hatten wir 80Euro bezahlt, für eine weitere sollten wir 101Eueo bezahlen und sind dann gefahren.

Route directions

From Barcelona, follow Ronda de Dalt (B20) in the direction of the airport. Take the C-31 in the direction of Castelldefels, exit at Gavà Mar (on the left along the beach with a viaduct over the C-31). Then take the third right-hand turning and follow the directions back to Barcelona to reach the site.

Camping 3 Estrellas has plenty of sights to see and things to do when not in Barcelona, like a children's farm and riding school offering lessons a kilometre from the site, and 10km of coastal promenade accessible from the beach next to the site: walk, jog or skate along here by day and go in the evening for dinner and drinks against a backdrop of Spanish sunset. Famed centre the Catalan Olympic Canal of Catalonia is just five minutes away, a highly popular spot for Spanish watersports like sailing, kitesurfing, canoeing and kayaking, and for land-based activities like cycling, archery and pitch and putt; many courses are available for all ages. Fancy neither land nor sea? Have a go at paragliding from here instead.
