That's the clever thinking behind Hu Venezia Camping In Town, a friendly site in Mestre with a 20-minute shuttle service (for an extra charge) to Venezia Tronchetto, making it easy to explore Venice's famed old canals. If you're tired from days in the city, relax on one of the many sun loungers at the water park back at base (open during high season only), while alternating between the Olympic-sized swimming pool, lagoon, paddling pool and whirlpool. Liked Lovely size pitch with great facilities, very new and clean, lovely pool and bar area with friendly staff and a great shuttle service to Venice, we were able to take our baby in stroller and our two dogs with us.

Disliked Asian Tiger Mosquitos everywhere- intolerable with repellent. So many bites just awful. Not the campsites fault but to be aware.

Liked We had an amazing stay at this campsite! Everything was just perfect — excellent service, clean water, reliable electricity, and a very cozy atmosphere. There was also a huge swimming pool, and overall it felt like staying at a 5-star hotel.

Special thanks to Alessia at the reception — she was incredibly kind, friendly, and very competent, always ready to help and answer any questions.

I was traveling with my cat, and someone from the staff even left cat litter on our pitch — such a thoughtful and sweet gesture! At one point, my cat ran outside, and the entire staff helped me catch her. No one blamed me or made me feel uncomfortable — everyone was extremely kind and understanding.

By 10 p.m. it was perfectly quiet, and we could sleep with the doors open. We highly recommend this place to everyone! I would happily come back again.

On top of that, there’s a convenient shuttle to Venice, and one day was enough for us to see everything we wanted.

Liked It had evwryrhing we needed and more! The pool and a bar was great. The comfort pitches were generous and in shade. The facilities were modern, cleaned regularly and it even had a laundrette. Also waahing up area was inside which is unusual but really helps if it is raining. They had a fully stocked supermarket, and ashuttle bus to water buses to Venice. Very reasonable price for all the amenities

Liked Super miejsce, niemu pierwsze raz na trzy noce i napewno tu wrócimy.
Basen czynny od 9 do 21 co jest rzadkością na kempingach. Parcele duże na każdym prócz oczywistego prądu, własne ujęcie wody i kratka na zrzut szarej

Disliked Komary, dużo komarów. Ale mieliśmy pachnidła na owady i dawały rade.
Miniaturowy plac zabaw dla dzieci... Także wieczorem bez atrakcji.

Route directions

By train From the Venezia Mestre railway station take the bus line 15 for Marghera Panorama. After approximately 10 minutes get off at the second stop in Via Beccaria. Walk for 50 metres as far as the Pizzeria restaurant on the right, then turn right into Via della Fonte. Walk to the end, pass the sports centre and take the promenade on the left. Take the underpass and walk two minutes up to the site.

Local attractions

A 20-minute shuttle trip will take you to Venezia Tronchetto, where there are onward connections to the centre of Venice and Piazza San Marco in about 30 minutes. If you want to hail a vaporetto (water bus), pick up a ticket at the Hellovenezia office near the Calatrava Bridge to catch vaporetti all over Venice. It's cheaper to get a tourist travel card than to journey on a pay as you go basis if you're in town for longer than a day, especially if you're venturing further to the Venice Lagoon islands such as Burano or the glassmaking centre of Murano; visit these as the sun sets for spectacular vistas over the water. Leather, glassware and jewellery stalls and shops are abundant on the Rialto Bridge and the streets lining it to and from Piazza San Marco. You'll also easily be able to sort a gondola ride from here; just ask one of the gondoliers what their price is – and be sure to establish what that includes, as some of the cheaper rides don't take in all the main sights.
