Camping Bella Vista

This is lovely land, close to the Genoan coast and with seaside strolls, old towns and ancient sites all within easy reach. It's a short drive or bike ride from here to Ceriale for walks on the coastal path and pitstops among the many restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours. Beaches are within about a kilometre and a half, or you could make a splash at the Caravelle waterpark a couple of kilometres away. Camping Bella Vista is set on the outskirts of Albenga, about five kilometres from its medieval centre, cathedral and the Palazzo Peloso Cepolla manor house – now home to the Roman Naval Museum with ship remains dating back to the first century AD. For more ancient sites, a short drive will take you to the Toirano caves and its three caverns, Basura, Santa Lucia and Colombo, and to the medieval town centre of Toirano on the banks of the Varatella. Foodwise, local cuisine is based on wholesome fare including artichokes, asparagus, courgettes and tomatoes: ravioli faraballà, veg soup zemin and Vermentino and Rossese wines are all popular picks.
