Benvenuti to Liguria and to Agricampeggio Ca' Romeo, a family-run site in the sweet spot between the medieval town of Sarzana and the coast. Whether you've plans of bouncing from beach to beach along the Riviera Apuana or want to stay put in quiet rural surroundings, booking a break at this friendly spot is a savvy move indeed. Agricampeggio Ca' Romeo is set among peaceful countryside, but it's also a short drive from the SS1 motorway. Long-distance travellers stopping here for the night could hardly hope for a prettier place to wake up and, with a bit of luck, can expect to reach Rome or Nice in time for a late lunch – assuming, that is, they don't get side-tracked by the spectacular scenery along the way… Transcontinental travel opportunities aside, parking yourself here for a longer spell could be an even better bet. Agricampeggio Ca' Romeo has facilities to enhance pretty much all aspects of alfresco living, including an open-air shower if you fancy being drenched to the sound of birdsong and an outdoor pool that pushes all the right buttons. Hungry stomachs and mediocre meals are a big no-no on Italian holidays, so cook yourself up something good in the communal kitchen (there's a fridge, workspace and a woodfired oven to assist with food prep). The owners also produce farm-pressed extra virgin olive oil and fresh veg and can help organise wine tours to their favourite local vineyards.

  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/06 and 08/09 (subject to weather conditions).
  • Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
  • No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
  • Minimum spacing of 10 metres between pitches.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
  • No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
  • Please use only biodegradable soaps for the outdoor showers.

Peaceful, roomy site, great hosts, clean facilities & kitchen. Kids love the pool & garden fun, plus the dog! Shady pitches. Some found showers tight, but all good. A bit tricky to find.

Liked Farm style camping with canvas pool, loungers and wood fire grilling set up.. Basic bathroom / shower / kitchen with some utensils. Shady and flat tent area. Close to Sarzana & train to Cinque Terre, seaside beaches and many hilltop villages.

Good atmosphere great host.
I've been to many campsites but this one is different. Makes you feel like a guest in your frainds house. Highly recommend, see it for yourself.

Liked Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 3 nuits en van + tente ! Nous étions une famille avec 3 enfants, entre 5 et 10 ans. L'accueil était très sympathique, l'endroit calme, et les nouveaux sanitaires très confortables! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la zone commune, où chacun peut venir cuisiner, faire sa vaisselle et manger, dans une ambiance très chaleureuse. Les enfants ont adoré la piscine et ont bien profité de chaque recoin du jardin (trampoline, hamacs, ...), ils ont aussi aimé la compagnie de Nami, le chien très affectueux.

Disliked Not as described at all. It’s not a farm. It’s the backyard of a building site. Freezing shower so unable to get clean then no water at all, not even drinking water! After hours of this with no contact from the owner - they don’t live there - and with two young children it was not possible to stay. Owner became hostile when we left.

VERO abbiamo avuto un problema con l'elettricità, che é durato al massimo un'ora e che mio marito ha prontamente risolto.
FALSO l'acqua potabile c'era eccome, ma eravate così concentrati a trovare delle critiche che neanche l'avete vista.
Appena siamo stati avvisati ci siamo attivati per risolvere il problema.
Credo che a tutti sia successo una volta nella vita che andasse via la corrente elettrica per un'ora .
VERO Ve ne siete andati senza avvisare che non sareste tornati e senza pagare neanche per la notte della quale avete usufruito.
Mi dispiace ma NOI siamo DIVERSI

Liked De rust, de ruimte, de natuur, het nachtelijke concert van de krekels en een uil. Ontzettend lieve eigenaars. Prachtige wandelingen in de buurt. Leuke stadjes en dorpjes. Zwembad op de kampplaats was heerlijk voor de kinderen. De sanitaire voorzieningen waren helemaal in orde, precies genoeg voor het aantal gasten, en gezellig ingericht. We zijn langer gebleven dan gepland, een aanrader!

Liked Lo spazio, perché in un agricampeggio cerchiamo proprio il comfort dell'avere spazio intorno, possibilmente all' ombra, il verde ben curato, il prato un po' secco, ma è normale per la stagione.
Ci è piaciuta la piscina, non interrata, ma ricoperta di legno, spazio molto gradevole.
Ci è piaciuto l'area cucina e condivisione, molto bene pensata, funzionale e famigliare.
I padroni di casa davvero accoglienti. Ci è piaciuto tutto in veritam

Local attractions

Now here's something worth celebrating – motor down to the coast from Agricampeggio Ca' Romeo and you'll have arrived at sandy beaches within 10 minutes. Marinella di Sarzana is the closest seafront town, with a medley of bars and flat sandy spots; the site is also able to book you onto surf, kayak or paddleboarding sessions here. Inland, take a trip to Sarzana (15 minutes' drive), a local history hub that's well worth visiting for its basilica and two fortresses. Next, hike your way up to Castelnuovo Magra (or drive there in about five minutes), a handsome hilltop town surrounded by a scenic network of paths and cycle trails (Nordic walking poles or mountain bikes can be hired in the centre). Carrara (30 minutes), a place whose name is known the world over for the top-quality marble mined in its hills, also deserves to be on the itinerary: you'll most likely want to stop off at the Castello Malaspina to admire the views before heading for a tour around the museums that showcase the city's finest export.
