The family-run Sikia Camping & Apartments is located right next to the seashore of the Pagasitic Gulf on the green peninsula of the Pelion mountain. You will find Sikia between the picturesque villages of Kato Gatzea and Kala Nera around 18km beyond Volos. Through many years of experience we have created a modern terraced campground of 30 hectares which has kept its typical Greek character and also meets today's highest international standard. Alongside the campground we offer hotel rooms and apartments that manage to balance the unique Pelion architecture with all the modern comforts. Through the shady olive grove, the guest can reach Sikia beach, situated in front of the camping. Sikia offers a sandy beach for both children and adults. There is also a rocky bay for snorkeling and swimming. As part of the offered facilities is the family taverna, the seaside bar and a grocer's shop. Among others there is also a multi-purpose sports field for basketball, mini football and volleyball.

Local attractions

Sikia serves as a "home base" for trips and excursions to the mountain-villages of Pelion, to the exquisite, attractive beaches of the Pagasitic Gulf, the Aegean Sea and also to the Sporades islands. A unique experience is the ride with the "steam train" of Pelion, Moutzouris. The most important museum in the area is the archaeological museum of Volos with numerous findings from the Paleolithic settlements of Dimini and Sesklo. Plenty folklore museums highlight the cultural identity of Pelion. The museum olive oil introduces the guest to the olive oil production techniques over the centuries.
