Fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked: Franc and Lisa were both very friendly and helpful, providing information about local places to visit and explaining everything we needed to know on arrival. All of the site, including washrooms and restaurant were immaculate and well kept. The home cooked food was delicious and the service exemplary. We will definitely book to stay here again on our next holiday to France.

Liked: Everything!! Toilet block is very clean and well maintained, the pool is fabulous. The food is just wow! Lisa & Franc are so invested in their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. I’d go as far as to say this is probably my favourite site and we will absolutely be back

Disliked: There is nothing to dislike apart from having to leave

Local attractions

Lace up your boots and head off for a stroll – there are lots of easy routes from Champagnac-la-Rivière, 15 minutes' walk away, and more throughout the Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park. Two-wheeled types have plenty of choice too, including a Voie Verte cycleway along an old railway line very close by. Horse riding, golf and fishing are also available within a half-hour drive, and there’s a sandy beach 15 minutes away, where you can swim in the cool waters of Lac de Saint-Mathieu. Among the historic houses nearby are Château de Brie, surrounded by 800 acres of woodland, Château de Montbrun and Château de Châlus-Maulmont, once home to Richard the Lionheart. All are within an hour’s drive. Also excellent for a day out is Limoges, just over half an hour away, to see the Gothic cathedral, the 13th-century half-timbered buildings and the National Porcelain Museum (and perhaps purchase some porcelain for yourself too).

Vehicles

The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

General

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 15/05 and 15/09 (subject to weather conditions).
