  • Dog-friendly site next to a beach on the Perharidy Peninsula
  • Walk to Roscoff in 40 minutes to take the ferry to Île de Batz
  • Shop, entertainment, kids’ club and sports on site
All aboard for stays and stopovers on the Brittany coast… dog-friendly Camping La Pointe de Roscoff is a four-hectare wildlife haven with direct access to a white-sand beach with turquoise water and granite boulders on North Finistère’s Perharidy Peninsula. Being on the waterfront has its perks: in the form of gentle sea swims and beach days as a family, couple or friends. There's plenty to do on site too, whether you want to start a friendly game of miniature golf, table tennis, volleyball or pétanque. There’s a kids’ playground, but perhaps you’ll be tempted by one of the family excursions to Île de Batz, île Callot, Louët island, Château du Taureau, Saint-Pol-de-Léon or Morlaix and its bay. What else is handy? Camping La Pointe de Roscoff has a small convenience store for any forgotten essentials. In the evening, the friendly team runs shows, concerts, dance evenings, karaoke, aperitif games and themed meals. Plus, the kids’ club organises activities like treasure hunts and creative workshops. Once per week during July and August, the site hosts a live performance from a celebrity with the opportunity to get an autograph. Named ‘Fiesta Boom Boom’, it finishes at 11pm.

What customers say

Brilliant beachfront spot near Roscoff ferry. Friendly staff, handy for travel. Downsides: tired toilets, unreliable showers, small/private pitches. OK for short trips, but needs work.

Liked Easy to get to the beach and the town

Disliked Very disappointing and badly in need of refurbishment

We have stayed at this campsite over the last three years as it has always been a convenient stop for us before catching the ferry home. Unfortunately, this year was extremely disappointing.

The campsite is very outdated and, in our opinion, desperately needs to be revamped. The facilities are in a poor state and the staff were not particularly welcoming once we had checked in.

What was most frustrating was being told after arrival that the toilets and showers were currently unavailable and that we would have to use eight static caravans for the facilities instead.

There was also nowhere practical to wash our dishes, other than using the facilities in these static caravans while other guests were showering or using the toilets. To make matters worse, there was no electricity in the caravans at night, meaning that once it got dark, these facilities were effectively unusable.

The biggest issue for us was the lack of prior notice. Had we been informed before arriving that the usual toilet, shower and washing-up facilities were unavailable, we would 100% have chosen a different campsite.

It is a real shame, as we have returned for the last three years and previously found it a useful and convenient stop before travelling home. Sadly, based on our experience this time, we would not return unless the facilities are substantially improved and guests are properly informed of any major closures beforehand

Liked Wonderful site just a little way from Roscoff port. We stayed there as a one night stop over before we headed south but wishes we had more time there. We overlooked the most beautiful golden beach with a breathtaking sunset. We will definitely stay again. Clean, tidy and very friendly.

Disliked The toilet and shower block didn’t seem to be working, however we could use chalets that had been left available for showers and the toilet so not really a problem.

Liked Close to Roscoff and a beach

Disliked Very tired site. Large old toilet block decommissioned so using a smaller block and for sold static units as toilets and showers. A lot of the electrical points were not working. Very disorganized booking in process. Two other vans sent up to our pitch

Local attractions

Whether you’re hiking the GR34 around the Brittany coast or tracking down its many golden-sand beaches by car, Camping La Pointe De Roscoff is well placed for seaside breaks. There are over 20 beaches on Île de Batz alone (15 minutes’ ferry from Roscoff, which is 40 minutes’ walk or five minutes’ drive away). Accessible at low tide only, Île Callot (25 minutes’ drive) has yet more coves. Those of you who’d like to make your way out onto the water (and not by ferry this time) might want to head south from the site instead, as the Centre de Glisse de Santec (10 minutes) runs paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking and sand yachting. Perhaps you’ll want to set sail from Morlaix (25 minutes), a lively sailing location at the bottom of the Monts d'Arrée (note this down, hiking fans, as the mountains are under an hour’s drive away). Saint-Pol-de-Léon (10 minutes) is splendid too, especially for a day of sightseeing around the 13th-century cathedral and streets with half-timbered houses.
