What customers say

Great campsite, peaceful & green. Staff are super friendly. Spacious pitches, pool, restaurant & bar get good mentions. Minor gripes: dated loos, mandatory togs for the pool, a few booking hiccups.

Powered concrete and grass site

Liked The actual site was lovely with good entertainment, a swimming pool and a little river.

Disliked Did not feel safe, no staff or patrol on site and a group of people had more vans of men arriving after midnight and leaving before 7am with only the original group left when the staff came on site in the morning. The group were building large shelters at 1am and driving on and off the site, all talking and playing music. Large groups of men directly in front of the toilets which were shared for men and women, the tents and group covered the span of approximately 5-6 plots directly infront of the toilets/showers. Such a shame as we had booked to stay there again on our way back home, will definitely cancel. No sleep and didn’t feel like a family site.

Liked Great to have a pool and the band on Saturday night.

Disliked Would have been good to have been informed that a band was going to be playing there. Showers to have more hooks to hang towels etc

2 bedroom safari tent (five person)

Liked Great little campsite amongst the Aze vineyards. Beautiful location. Safari tent was fantastic, loads of space and well equipped kitchen. Helpful staff at campsite reception. Bar & restaurant. Caves are well worth the tour at €10.
Swimming pool is amazing! Great kids pool too.

Disliked Not much to dislike really, we loved our 3 nights here.
Something to be aware of as the pool is a public pool, it's €3 entry (not €2 as advertised on Pitch Up) and men need Speedo / jammer style trunks AND a swimming cap! No entry without.

Local attractions

Of course you’ll want to visit the Grottes d’Azé to explore the wonderful naturally sculpted underground caverns and see the well-preserved bear and lion fossils it’s become well known for. And if that’s given you a taste for such things, follow up with a trip to Grottes de Blanot (15 minutes’ drive). Back above ground there are plenty of activities to keep you busy, including biking along the green or blue cycle routes, going horse riding from Azé, climbing into the trees at Lugny Acro (five minutes) or rock climbing at Vergisson (25 minutes). And of course here in the midst of the Mâconnais vineyards there are wines to be tasted if that’s more your thing. For a taste of the area’s more recent history, head to Cluny Abbey (15 minutes), once the largest church in Christendom, or take a tour of Château de Brancion (15 minutes), up on a clifftop overlooking the medieval village.
