The King is a picturesque river, starting as a nice little freestone stream in the mountains behind Mt Stirling, it travels its way north out of the high country through the King Valley and into the Ovens River at Wangaratta.
With ideal fishing conditions for all ages, trout, cod, black fish and redfin are regularly caught at the Reserve.
