Strawberry bell tent

Liked Penny and Jon were top hosts delivering a flawless service which is absolute value for money. We had a great weekend and they were a massive part of it! If you’re unsure which camp site to book and you see this review, just book moon dance Glamping and you won’t be disappointed. Great price and in our opinion a bargain for the service provided, we can’t wait to stay again. Thankyou both, all the best.

Moonlight unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked A lovely peaceful spot, we were lucky to have the camping field to ourselves which was great!
Penny was very welcoming, greeted us on arrival, showed us around/where to find water/how to use the composting toilets etc.
Good base for trips out, Penny had some great recommendations that we wouldn’t have gone to if she hadn’t mentioned.
There was some helpful info left in the fridge shed, with local tide times, flapjacks and marshmallows, treats for the dog, lovely touches.
Beautiful starry nights. Gorgeous sunsets.

Disliked From our dog… disliked the geese (couldn’t see them just heard them) think Penny said they were a neighbours, barked at them at their bedtime when they were being called in… good job no one else was staying to irritate them with the barking!

Moonlight unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Really lovely quite campsite which felt very peaceful.
Penny couldn't be more helpful as a host and made us feel most welcome. Great location for seeing things locally. Good, basic facilities. All that we needed. Great waste facilities with great thought for being as low impact to environment as possible.
Really loved the little hut with the message board, fridge/freezer, local information, fresh produce and honesty box.
We camped , but had the chance to look at the glamping facilities and would love to try them in the future.

Moonshadow unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked 1) The owners, Penny and Dave! I was met with a hugely warm & friendly welcome, despite the pouring rain. Was given a tour & had everything explained perfectly.
2) The vibe - tranquil & peaceful, and so perfect for campers who want to keep their footprint small but also like creature comforts. Only 2 tents can pitch at any one time on the tent paddock, so that each pitch has sole access to their own composting loo (which are fab & are cleaned regularly...and no, they're not at all whiffy!)
3) The thoughtfulness & care that has gone into making this the perfect hideaway campsite - everything blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature; no stark lighting, but minimal & welcomed LED strips which do a great job. Recycling station. Sink with running hot water, washing up liquid & dischcloth. Food shed with fridge/freezer, fresh F/R eggs, marshmallows, flapjacks, freshly picked herbs for campers to use in their cooking, also daily-updated tide times and wildlife info.

Moonlight unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Penny and Jon were exceptional hosts: welcoming, kind (lent us a dog bed for example) and really looked after us. The site is beautiful and secluded and very quiet. The facilities are squeaky clean and we loved the extra touches (herbs, flowers, penny’s Welsh cakes). The area is stunning too. We’d love to come back.

Strawberry bell tent

Liked Seclusion of the wood.
Cleanliness
Lots of lovely little touches like fresh wild flowers, condiments, welcome basket, natural bug repellent, fairy lights, fresh garden veg and fresh eggs, hammocks for star gazing.
Friendly, welcoming owners (nothing too much trouble, even the option for spider rescues if needed)

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We are so pleased you had a good time despite the somewhat inclement weather. It was lovely to meet you both and we are delighted that the spiders behaved, so no rescues were needed!
All the best, Penny and Jon. 😊

Local attractions

Pembrokeshire’s a place where you can pack your days full of activity or keep things slow-paced as you prefer. If you’re planning on the former, you might like to start with a very short walk (just a minute or so) to Aim Country Sports to hone your weaponry skills with indoor archery, aerial archery and (gulp) axe throwing. If you’re not up for hurling dangerous objects about, try less peril-filled days out at The Secret Owl Garden or Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo – both are within a 15-minute drive. Down to the coast is a must, at some point – adventure-seekers can sign up for more challenges on a coasteering trip from Tenby (20 minutes’ drive) while those looking for something a little more sedate can sort fishing trips in the harbour, ramble along the coast path or settle on one of the town's beaches for sandcastles and ice creams. Saundersfoot and the seven-mile Pendine Sands are also within a 20-minute drive for more beach action.
