Unpowered grass tent site (small)

Liked: Beautiful campsite. The owners have done a fantastic job at adding extra touches to make it that little more special, including a private woodland with various fun spots to take a stop, and a charming fire pit area. It’s a close walk to Pembroke Castle, with plenty of nearby areas to visit by foot and car also. Owners are friendly and have clearly put a lot of thought and heart into their site, it certainly pays off. There’s also plenty of pod options to stay in, some hidden higher up in the woods, all of them look inviting. We will likely try them out on a return visit. Highly recommend staying here.

Woodland camping pod

Liked: Absolutely brilliant site - really clean and well cared for. Duvets and utensils were a welcome surprise, pod was clean and tidy. The owners greeted us and were very accommodating and engaged with you. They have a communal area with fire pits where we got together and chatted with other guests. The surrounding area is beautiful. I can not fault this site - I will be back.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike!

Local attractions

Give your arms a workout (or simply sit back and let someone else do the hard work) at Pembroke Castle (20 minutes' walk), where you can hire rowing boats for outings on the boating lake. Also in the Pembroke area, you could learn more about the region’s maritime history at Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre (five minutes' drive) or inspect the medieval ruins of Lamphey Bishops' Palace (10 minutes). Keeping the kids entertained isn't going to be a problem in this family-friendly part of the world, whether you opt for the trampolines, pedalos, mini land rovers and paintball at Heatherton World of Adventure (15 minutes) or have set your sights on the exotic specimens on show at Manor Wildlife Park (15 minutes). For time by the coast, explore the Angle Peninsula (20 minutes), a peaceful Site of Special Scientific Interest that's dotted with World War II defences, or head to the popular beaches around Tenby (20 minutes) for some time sprawled out on the sand. The small city of St Davids (45 minutes) is a must too and is surrounded by tiny coves and pretty natural harbours.
