  • Cosy shepherd's huts with woodburning stoves and stunning sea views
  • In the village of Pwll, 10 minutes' drive from Llanelli
  • Views over the Gower Peninsula; goats on site
Sitting in a pretty location uphill from the coast, Bronllys Farm is a pleasant seaside site on the edge of the village of Pwll, a small settlement 10 minutes' drive from Llanelli. With its pair of pretty shepherd's huts, each of which has different features and a slightly different feel, this is a great spot for first-time or experienced glampers looking for a small and intimate site in the Carmarthenshire countryside. The huts have their own woodburning stoves (with wood included) and both have access to a shared toilet and hot shower, both of which are housed in a well-maintained cabin alongside the units. Additionally, guests have access to a large communal barbecue and picnic area just outside. While you'll only be sharing these facilities with one other party, it's worth knowing about the other residents on site, which include a small herd of cheeky goats. They will come up to the fence to say hello and enjoy being fed fruit and veg scraps (or cream crackers if you want to give them a special treat). Handily, the site is a five-minute walk from a bus stop, while a pub, café and the coast path can be reached with ease in under a quarter of an hour.

Green Pastures shepherd's hut

Liked: The place was absolutely lovely, Vic, the host was lovely too. Stunning views to look at while having a fire or doing a bbq. Everything that you needed was there, the facilities were great a clean, a lovely hot shower and even some friendly goats and and a sweet old dog named Jet. Was the perfect weekend away to recharge - couldn’t recommend it more!

Disliked: A very minor thing that just a mattress/ foam topper would be a great addition and would be the cherry on top, but we used the duvet for some extra cushion as it was warm anyway

Green Pastures shepherd's hut

Liked: Location was nice

Disliked: Room had not been cleaned properly. The beds were in very poor condition. the pillows were very wet. We were chilling in the cabin and then we saw slugs in out room (one on the bed) and one on the wall. Would not recommend staying here for any price. Had messaged the host and only had excuses for this.

From the manager: Thanks for the feeback Rhodri. Glad you enjoyed the location, and the Wifi. I'm sorry that you felt the cleaning was not up to the expected standard. It certainly had been attended to from the previous night's guests. I did not notice 'very wet' pillows either before or after your departure. It had been a shockingly wet week before you arrived however and some dampness in the air cannot be avoided in such an unsealed wooden hut. I will however, keep bedding in the house over the autumn/winter months in future to avoid any potential dampness. The bed is a fairly new sofa bed and I find it strange to be described as in 'very poor condition'. As regards the slugs. Very unpleasant I agree but in wet conditions in a field at the edge of woodland it is impossible to prevent the possibilty of unwanted visitors. They were not seen on cleaning and would be active after dark. We even get some in the main house from time to time and that is with double glazed doors. No idea how they find a way in! Possibly to have avoided any of these kind of issues the booking of a small, budget glamping option in a wet welsh November may not have been the ideal accomodation choice for you.

Such a warm welcome, so peaceful and stunning views!

Green Pastures shepherd's hut

Liked: Absolutely beautiful view from the shepherds hut, good location with friendly and accommodating hosts.

Disliked: I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and found the bed to be a bit too firm for me, but that is my personal preference not a reflection of this accommodation.
