What customers say

A remote, peaceful spot with stunning sea views and sunsets. Guests love the friendly owner, clean basic facilities, and great coastal walk location. Dogs welcome, spacious pitches. Some noted limited phone signal & small loos, but it's charming and good value. Many want to come back.

Unpowered grass caravan site

Liked Good location, surrounded by nature. Owner took the time for a chat and is a nice bloke. Recycling bins on site along with a fresh water tap and onsite toilet.
Nice pair of Herons along with a lot of ducks on a nearby pond.

Disliked Hundreds of ducks quacking at 5 am but bearable.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked The land owner Andrew was very friendly and welcoming. The site has amazing views and great walks along the Welsh coastal path. You can see the ferries in and out of Holyhead Harbour if your into ship spotting. Incredible site to see the sunrise/sundown. Andrew’s family provide incredible baking goods such as cookies and brownies which is a nice touch.

Liked Nice big open space, a true wild camp experience with some absolutely amazing scenic spots on the doorstep. Owner is a nice guy, brought us some fire wood and a fire pit. Toilets are clean and there is running water available. I will absolutely be back to this site, thanks for a great night!

Local attractions

All visitors to Anglesey should angle for as much coastal time as possible. That may well include lengthy rambles on the Anglesey Coast Path (which passes close to Pengraig) and/or as many hours as you can spare for beach time. Take a 20-minute stroll to rocky Ynys y Fydlyn beach or head south for 40 minutes on foot to the (often almost empty) sands of Church Bay. Stick around in Church Bay for a glance into the past at the Swtan Heritage Museum, then drive for 25 minutes or so to Amlwch, the northernmost town in all of Wales. It may look rather sleepy now but back in the day (the late 1800s) around 10,000 people gathered here around the world’s largest copper mine. Get an idea of what the place was like back then at the town’s Copper Kingdom Centre, then take a colourful walk round the old mine at Parys Mountain. After you’ve knocked around the north for a bit, head south for visits to Beaumaris Castle (45 minutes) and Ynys Llanddwyn (50 minutes), the island dedicated to the Welsh patron saint of lovers. A photo stop by the sign for the UK’s longest town name is a must, too. Deep breath and all together now… Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (35 minutes).
