Noisy , unorganised.. left us feeling unwelcome
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Green rustic setting .. close to town dog friendly … albeit lots cats roaming
Disliked Appalling reception … owner moaning about number of customers … we even heard him disawade a couple from stopping even though like us they had booked and paid on pitch up … Complete lack of organisation of pitches .. toilets and showers very very run down … even had to chase up lack of loo roll in all toilets. Late nite noise

Lovely spot but could do with some tlc and supervision
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked (All pitches are the same whether for motor home or tent )
We have stayed here a few times, we like the site location. At times the site is quiet and peaceful, and we will stay again
Disliked The facilities are very basic , and the maintenance/checks not good ( no toilet rolls / having to take your own when you go) One toilet door in ladies doesn’t close properly so can’t be locked .
Shower in ladies good, but men’s , no lock on door, nowhere to hang clothes while showering.
Whilst the booking of pitches now seems to be online only, that seems a little unpredictable. I wouldn’t feel that it guaranteed me a pitch. There is no supervision of where people pitch, and people arrive with multiple vehicles and park wherever , which blocks available pitches , and can make for cramped , close environments. People also tearing branches off trees around site behind our pitch for their evening fire

Liked Lovely little site in 2 min walking distance to the centre of the village, very friendly and helpful. Great spot for walks or to drive from to local cites like Harlech Castle.

Expensive stay in a field with poor facilities.
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Flat field.
Disliked Entrance to site not clear - No obvious reception, greeted by carers of a man in the first house and then the man himself muttering which felt uncomfortable - dogs constantly barking - eventually someone appeared from the house further down and pointed to field. We were the only tent in the field and were on motorbikes so steep entrance and exit into field a bit precarious.
Used supplied bench tables to find previous visitors had left chewing gum on the seats which stuck to my shorts and ruined them so not happy.
Bin was full toilet facilities are very tired and did not give the feeling of clean- decided not to shower. It was quite but that’s because nobody else there.
Paid £35 for the night most expensive of our trip which we booked daily and felt it was money for old rope.
Basically it was a field that needed mowing and facilities need seriously updating would not recommend.

Great budget campsite but no working toilet for women
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Location is perfect. Field is flat and tent pegs go in with no trouble. Showers are delightfully hot and water is continuous. Sink for washing up is available and always welcome. Fire safety equipment available. Quiet and plenty of space (no organised pitches).
Disliked No toilets available for anyone identified as female at birth (as per supreme court ruling) - they were blocked on arrival and remained blocked the entire bank holiday weekend. The portaloo was also non-functioning. There are functional public toilets a 5 minute walk from the site though not close enough for a midnight stumble.
There was one small communal bin on site and this was full on arrival and remained full the entire bank holiday weekend - this is best described as a pack in pack out site. Which is fine, if you're expecting it.
We were asked to pay again despite having paid in advance via pitchup. So make sure you have payment details with you so you can dispute this.
There are no instructions and there is no reception desk on site, just a note with a phone number which can be slightly disconcerting, its nice to know what to expect so you can act accordingly.

From the manager: Thank you for your recent review. We apologise to hear the experience during your stay. We were not made aware of the facilities being blocked, for this reason we were unable to rectify the issue promptly. In the terms and conditions a deposit is taken on booking and the remaining balance is then collected in the day of arrival, we apologise for any confusion caused. We will review our arrival instructions on the website to improve future customer experience. Thanks again for your recent stay.
Horrible experience, no response for a refund
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked The local pub nearby
Disliked Had to leave site after a few hours due to the unacceptable behaviour of the person who lived on site. The language and behaviour was intimating, sexually inappropriate and become more aggressive throughout the night where we was woken at 1:30am to him shouting. We left as soon as we had enough light (4am) due to feeling unsafe. Please do not book this site

Far better sites in the area and a lot cheaper
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Tidy field
Disliked Amenities terrible and that's being polite, dirty dish washing area thats minging dirty and well dated hot water in gents goes to one sink , that takes ages to fill via a wall mounted water heater, there's nothing to dry your hands with after washing yours hands after using the toilet certainly not worth £45 a night more like £15 and that's being generous
