  • Peaceful CAMC members-only site on a sheep farm in Eryri National Park
  • Llyn Tegid 15 minutes’ drive; King Arthur’s Labyrinth 25 minutes
  • Dog-friendly riverside pitches; spotless facilities in a stone barn
Caravan and Motorhome Club member and looking for a small and peaceful site in Eryri (formerly Snowdonia) National Park? They’ve got you covered at Tŷ Cerrig Certificated Location, set on a third-generation family-run sheep farm five minutes’ drive from the tiny hamlet of Rhydymain, and they’ve thrown in spectacular views of forest and mountains for good measure too. You have a choice of neatly maintained riverside pitches, all of which have electric hook-ups, drinking water and wifi. A track leads to a smartly converted stone barn with pristine toilet and shower facilities. The site sits alongside the Afon (river) Tŷ Cerrig, and you can exercise your canine chums on numerous walks directly into the countryside. It’s easy to access thanks to its proximity to the A494, and is positioned between Bala and Dolgellau (both 15 minutes’ drive), historic market towns rich in charm and leisure opportunities as well as having a few shops, cafés, pubs and takeaways.

What customers say

A quiet, charming sheep farm campsite in a lovely valley with a stream. Guests loved the super-friendly owners, amazing views, and clean facilities. Great walks nearby. Only one shower/toilet, but most didn't mind.

Liked Fantastic place with beautiful scenery. Little brook/river runs down the side of the road given calming vibes. Host extremely friendly and accommodating providing Superb and clean amenities. Full farmhouse kitchen with Arga cooker, washing machine, coffee machine and a lot more…. Chickens and sheep as your neighbours what more could you ask for in such a calming environment. Was offered wifi. Many thanks for the use of your cable and stay.

Disliked But a dislike as the bloke is beautifully kept but must note Only one shower and toilet. Didn’t bother us as we had are own in the motorhome.

Unpowered gravel motorhome site (riverside, members only)

Liked The location, a short and pretty drive from the main road. Stone barn with kitchen and toilet/shower. There is only one, but it's very nice nice. The owners are absolutely lovely, super friendly. The stream running alongside the camp pitches. Chickens and Sheep. Power and Water points are equi-distant between pitches.

Disliked Only one shower and Loo for 5 pitches. It wasn't a problem for us but it wasn't a full site either.

Liked The best campsite owners we have ever encountered. Annest and Rhys blew us away with their warm welcome and outstanding service. The facilities were great, having full use of a kitchen, ease to pitch up. Set in a truly beautiful location, opposite a stream. Spotlessly clean site, surrounded by beautiful walks and only 30 minutes from Barmouth. Could not recommend enough 10/10
