Powered concrete slab caravan site

Liked: The positioning of the site had fabulous views, it was clean and tidy, and surprisingly quite. Loved seeing the donkeys. There was a small shop that did stock a few little bits, which was handy.

Disliked: The price of the tumble dryer, would have been nice to have a chart or something that showed how much time you got for every £2 you spent, handy to have if you need to dry anything but £2 for 10 mins was a lot.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for taking time to send us a review, it is much appreciated. The tumble drier cost are £2 for the first 10 minutes but from this point on its costs less, its just the start up. Had you mentioned it to the team they would have explained. We will put up a sign to explain this. Having said this we try and minimise signs. Regards Len

Powered grass site (large)

Liked: Very clean facilities, everything we needed. Very relaxed atmosphere, . The walks from the site were amazing. We would definitely go back

Disliked: Reception needs better sign posting, 10.30pm curfew for putting out the campfire on a chilly night was slightly off putting especially the warden check telling us to extinguish, if we were a rowdy group I'd get it but just a couple having a relaxing drink around the fire felt like we were being watched and micro managed

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for your review and feedback. We will look at what else we can do to improve the reception signage. We understand your comments about the fire but unfortunately people go to bed and leave the fire burning. When you decide to have a fire, it is made clear that the fire has to be out by 2230. Regards Len

Liked: Really lovely picturesque, peaceful site, amenities are great, toilets and shower blocks lovely and clean, nice hot showers. Loved feeding the donkeys, has a nice little play area if you have younger kids and the reception has a little shop in where you can buy donkey food and also hire fire pits/buy logs. Staff are really friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. Look forward to returning soon.

Powered grass site

Liked: Pitches are on a sloping bank but they’ve levelled and tiered them so you’re not on a big slope, great touch! Location is fab, links to all the sights and attractions in North Wales. Great for families with the farm animals on site. Tidy and well kept in all aspects. Toilet block was clean and the showers were always warm. Selling produce that has come off the farm is a great little touch, burgers and eggs were ace! Brill walks that you can go on straight off the farm. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The friendless of the staff, I loved the welcome and the tour of the site. I have often it quite nerve wracking not knowing where to go or find stuff but they took this away by showing you around. Great facilities, hot showers free to use no time limits. Very clean toilets and showers. I can’t complain about anything

Liked: Bardzo dobrze oznaczone i zadbane miejsca namiotowe, wyznaczone miejsca na bbq, piękne widoki na góry. Toalety i prysznice czyste. Local attractions

The surrounding area has heaps to see and do alongside the rambles, coastlines and castles: if you get a bit stuck for choice, ask the family for their top picks. Within a short drive are Surf Snowdonia in Conway, Zip World in Bethesda (home to Velocity, the fastest zipline in the world and the longest in Europe), the treetop nets of Bounce Below, Zip World Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog and GreenWood Forest Park a family adventure park in Y Felinheli. Rather conveniently, one of Wales's top attractions is less than five miles from Tyn Yr Onnen Farm, the National Slate Museum in Llanberis, where kids can get stuck into the story of the country's mining heritage amid talks and demos, quarrymen's houses and interactive play activities. Llanberis village is where many set out to climb Snowdon as the Llanberis Path begins here, winding up the least taxing route (we'll point out again that the Snowdon Mountain Railway goes to the top too). The village is also a popular place for adventurous activities like kayaking, coasteering, scuba diving, mountain biking, pony trekking and high ropes courses. Another popular pull of these parts is the Dinorwig Power Station or Electric Mountain: take an underground tour, set the kids free to play in the den, or test your wits in the Genius Corner puzzle room.
