  • Site on a vegetable farm five miles from Eryri (Snowdonia)
  • A 15-minute drive to Llanberis for a trail to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
  • A sheltered field with access to a small forest; farm shop on site
Begin your adventures in Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and Ynys Mon (Anglesey) at Tyddyn Teg Campsite. Based on a regenerative vegetable farm, the site is just five miles from the edge of Eryri National Park. The farm is in the capable hands of a cooperative, and they’ve made one of the fields available for guests to sit back, relax and take full advantage of the peaceful surroundings of the farm and woodland. It's a family-friendly site, next door to a little forest which is kept as untouched wildland and has a small path through to oak trees and a stream. Handily, events are often organised by the site, and if you also envisage your future self tucking into some lovely locally-sourced food, this is the spot for it too. The farm shop is open to guests, and sells freshly harvested products, products from other local producers and organic products from further afield. For an evening out at the pub or a takeaway, just make your way to the nearby villages within five minutes’ drive of the farm. There’s no forgetting about Eryri National Park, of course. It’s a 15-minute drive from the farm to Llanberis village, where a nine-mile path begins up to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The next day, prop those well-exercised feet up on Dinas Dinlle beach, 20 minutes’ drive away.

Unpowered grass tent site (four person)

Liked This is a lovely campsite - the location is super peaceful and beautiful, one evening we had lots of bats flying around us which was so magical. Everyone at the farm was so friendly and welcoming! The farm shop is fantastic, great to see it full of mostly their own produce. We loved the fresh bread and being able to see where they grow their veggies and exploring their woodland! The eco- friendly facilities are perfect. We had a great stay here, would love to come back and would defo recommend the site. Diolch! ☺️

From the manager: Thanks for the lovely review! It was great to meet you both, and we're glad to hear you had such a nice time at the farm and in the surrounding area. You're welcome to visit again next time you're in North Wales!

Unpowered grass tent site (four person)

Liked This is my favourite campsite I've stayed at. It is absolutely beautiful. Each pitch has it's own dedicated space and felt very private. The campsite was kept immaculate and even had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided in the showers. The small kitchen was extremely handy during bad weather and was very well equipped. Dafydd was an exceptional host and made me and my little girl feel very welcome. The onsite shop was wonderful and a co-op is close by for extras. We paid only £5 for a huge bucket of firewood. The location was fantastic; we got up Snowdon and to Anglesey. I'd recommend this campsite to anyone who likes a back to nature and quieter camping experience in a beautiful place.

From the manager: Hi Philippa,

We are so happy you and your daughter enjoyed your stay. We would be delighted to have you back, come and say hello if you come back to the area!

An exceptional standard of camping, better than anywhere found before

Liked This is the most generous, trusting and highly organised site we have ever stayed at! Full kitchen and bathrooms and every tiny detail covered from eco shower wash to spare freezer blocks. Unbelievable!

Disliked Nothing!

Liked A tiny, beautiful and quiet campsite in rural location. Large sheltered pitches, clean tidy facilities including a communal kitchen that was invaluable in inclement weather. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly.
Definitely one to visit again.

From the manager: Thank you Rachel! It was lovely to meet you both, and we're glad you enjoyed your stay and the site facilities. We hope to see you again sometime!

Bell tent (two person)

Liked I loved my stay here, everything was perfect. Beginning with communication with Aglaé, who was fantastic in showing me around everywhere and being on hand to help, as were the rest of the team.
I stayed in Onnen and it was everything and more than I needed, they really have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It was such a cozy and comfortable tent.
The site itself is so peaceful, considering its on a working farm. I spent hours watching the buzzards flying overhead. It's perfectly situated to explore North Wales, Eyri National Park, and Anglesey.
I was sorry to leave and will definitely be back.
I already miss sharing my dinner with Alva the farm dog.

From the manager: Hi Michaela, it was lovely to have you! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and managed to get some nice weather. We will be very happy to have you back.

Bell tent (four person)

Liked Fabulous set up in the tent. Had everything we needed and more. Lovely welcome upon arrival and great communication skills for check in etc. fabulous kitchen to cook meals. Only 2 toilets and 1 shower. Did suffice for us however if site would have been busy it could have been an issue but beautiful and clean. Will defo return.

From the manager: Hello Katie! We are so glad that you guys enjoyed your stay. We have enjoyed having you and the kids around.
We have been conscious of our low numbers in showers, which is why we have not opened at full capacity this year whilst we are still building new showers and toilets. They will be finished for next year, and we are looking forward to run a full season next year with all pitches and bell tents open!

Liked The kindness and thoughtfulness of the hosts was above and beyond. The weather was not playing ball and hosts pulled out all the stops to ensure we had a great comfortable stay.
Proper glamping with so many thoughtful comfortable touches, great facilities including the brand new cosy campers kitchen.
Loved it!!
Will def try to come again when we’re next in the area, thank you :)

From the manager: Thank you Emma! It was lovely to meet you and the kids and we'd be thrilled to see you again if you were coming back our way! We enjoyed the chats and kids plays.

Local attractions

The Menai Bridge (15 minutes’ drive) is your gateway to Ynys Mon (Anglesey), with its wild coves and ancient historic sites. Beaumaris (25 minutes) is especially beckoning for those who like history, as it has a 13th-century moated castle and Victorian punishment cells. Bangor (15 minutes), just after the Menai Bridge, has its fair share of history too. Cathedral, castle, museum – tick, tick, tick. Further on, sample the gins and whiskies of the Aber Falls Distillery (15 minutes). Of course, you may very well want to fit in a trip to Caernarfon Castle (10 minutes) when you’re so close by. Placed on the banks of the river Seiont, the castle is a prominent castle from the Middle Ages (and of course, the cafés and shops of Caernarfon are sure to look very inviting after you’ve finished touring it).
