  • Glamping on a vegetable farm five miles from Eryri (Snowdonia)
  • A 15-minute drive to Llanberis for a trail to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
  • A sheltered field with access to a small forest; farm shop on site
Begin your adventures in Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and Ynys Mon (Anglesey) at Tyddyn Teg Campsite. Based on a regenerative vegetable farm, the glamping site is just five miles from the edge of Eryri National Park. The farm is in the capable hands of a cooperative. They’ve made one of the fields available for glampers to do as glampers do: sit back, relax and take full advantage of the little creature comforts that glamping comes with. This is a family-friendly site. Next door to the field is a little forest kept as untouched wildland on the farm, with a small path through to oak trees and a stream. Events are often organised by the site. If you also envisage your future self tucking into some lovely locally-sourced food, this is the spot for it. The farm shop is open to the guests, and sells freshly harvested products, products from other local producers and organic products from further afield. For an evening out at the pub or a takeaway, just make your way to the nearby villages within five minutes’ drive of the farm. There’s no forgetting about Eryri National Park, of course. It’s a 15-minute drive from the farm to Llanberis village, where a nine-mile path begins up to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The next day, prop those well-exercised feet up on Dinas Dinlle beach, 20 minutes’ drive away. The tents are thoughtfully furnished with convenient amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities and barbecues complete with utensils, plates and cutlery. Additionally, each tent is equipped with USB charging points to ensure that guests can conveniently charge their phones during the stay.

What customers say

Great spot for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey! Spacious, private pitches and spotless, well-equipped facilities (communal kitchen too). Friendly hosts and a farm shop are big pluses. A peaceful, relaxing getaway, highly recommended.

Bell tent (two person)

Liked First time in a bell tent. Experience was amazing. Host met us and gave us a tour around the site, including the 24/7 pay as you go farm shop. The campsite was beautiful as was our bell tent. Kitchen was all kitted out including an oven. Everything on site was organic. Compost toilets. Best unexpected feature was the electric blanket in the bell tent! No complaints whatsoever.

Unpowered grass tent site (eight person)

Liked This was one of the best campsites I have ever stayed at, the people were friendly, facilities clean and location was great. There is a lot included with staying here like stocked facilities (full communal kitchen, clean restrooms/showers and an on-site farm shop), easy access to surrounding areas and friendly and helpful workers. I cannot recommend this site more. :)

From the manager: Hi Chase, thanks for your review! We're glad you had such a positive experience staying with us, and enjoyed our facilities and the local area. Hopefully we might see you again next season!

Unpowered grass tent site (eight person)

Liked We had a fantastic time at Tyddyn Teg! The pitches are a good size, and well spaced out. The communal kitchen is great and has pretty much everything you need.

Toilets and shower were kept clean and great for wild camping.

The shop is lovely, great bread and veggies.

There were stories and songs around the campfire one evening which the children loved. You can hire fire pits and buy logs from them too. It’s very family friendly. And in a great location, close to shops and lots of beautiful walks.

The people who work there were so friendly and really lovely people. They look after the campers and campsite very well.

We’ll definitely return (hopefully when it’s less rainy)

Disliked There wasn’t a lot to not like, other than the rain!

From the manager: Thanks for the review Laura! Great to hear you and your family enjoyed your time here, and were able to join us for one our storytelling evenings. Thanks for your positive feedback on our facilities and farm shop too. Look forward to seeing you again sometime (perhaps in drier weather!).

Liked Loved this campsite, we stayed on a pitch your own tent plot and easily fitted our 3 tents, enclosed in our own space with the trees was perfect, loved having the kitchen with everything you could need, nice little walking route in the woods behind us, clean bathrooms and hot showers, hired a firepit for baked potatoes and evening campfire, brilliant farm shop on site with so much in stock, brought home lots of veggies and bread, Daffyd was lovely and very helpful if we needed anything, I will definitely be back x

Bell tent (four person)

Liked Our bell-tent was perfect, we all loved the space and setting. The kids loved the toilets ( best compost ones they’ve used!)
and not having to look out for cars while spending time in the camping field. ( obviously the trampoline was also a popular feature too!).
Everyone was really friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere. We loved using the fire pit and the kitchen was perfectly laid out and equipped. When we come back to North Wales this will be our first choice for camping! Thanks so much!

Disliked Nothing!

Bell tent (four person)

Liked We LOVED the bell tent, all of the small touches (Aglaé had thought of everything), the feeling of privacy afforded by the pitches being spread out/separated by woodland, the cleanliness, the on-site shop, just all of it. We've discussed making a trip there an annual thing as we're so taken with it!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks Leah, it was a pleasure to have you and the kids, and we would love to have you back every year!

Unpowered grass tent site (four person)

Liked Beautiful eco friendly site, very clean and quiet. Great location for Snowdonia, Anglesey, Caernarfon, etc

Disliked Every time I tried to use the shower it was either uncomfortably hot or freezing cold. It was fine for my partner so possibly just bad luck on my part.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you very much for your feedback Heather. We are sorry you were unlucky with the showers, we know they are a bit temperamental and our coworker Jamie is going to have a look at them to improve them in the next couple of weeks. So we hope that this issue will be sorted for next season.

Again, sorry you were unlucky with them, we hope you would still like to come again anyway and try our new showers next year!

Local attractions

The Menai Bridge (15 minutes’ drive) is your gateway to Ynys Mon (Anglesey), with its wild coves and ancient historic sites. Beaumaris (25 minutes) is especially beckoning for those who like history, as it has a 13th-century moated castle and Victorian punishment cells. Bangor (15 minutes), just after the Menai Bridge, has its fair share of history too. Cathedral, castle, museum – tick, tick, tick. Further on, sample the gins and whiskies of the Aber Falls Distillery (15 minutes). Of course, you may very well want to fit in a trip to Caernarfon Castle (10 minutes) when you’re so close by. Placed on the banks of the river Seiont, the castle is a prominent castle from the Middle Ages (and of course, the cafés and shops of Caernarfon are sure to look very inviting after you’ve finished touring it).
