Stunning scenery

  • Small family-run eco site on the Llŷn Peninsula with gorgeous views
  • Dinas Dinlle beach 15 minutes' drive; Caernarfon 20 minutes
  • Car-free pitches with space to play, and games in a campers' barn
What a gorgeous spot for a north Wales break – not only is Bryn Ifan Camping in an elevated location in the Llŷn Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s also only a short drive from the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. That means stunning scenery from the pitches for guests at this small Gwynedd site – and also easy access to plenty more of that in the surrounding area, whether you favour coast or mountain views (or even both mixed into one view, in some cases). Being in a secluded spot also often means some excellent stargazing on clear nights; lighting has been deliberately kept at a low level on site to help guests make the most of the views. Site owners Callie and Gwynn have put a lot of thought into the design of their eco site, mowing spacious pitches into the wildflower meadow and keeping it all car-free so kids can frolic safely. There’s plenty for them to explore while they roam – a vintage tractor and a fallen tree to clamber on, for example – plus space to kick a ball about. A campfire and picnic area is the place to be come the evening (pick up supplies in local shops or the supermarkets 20 minutes’ drive away in Caernarfon). And rain needn’t stop play either, as you can just shift everyone into the campers’ barn, which has vintage table games for everyone to play.
