Liked: What a stay!!! We loved everything about this site. The beautiful surroundings the friendly site owners nothing was to much trouble for them and they made us feel extremely welcome. The pitches are well kept and everything was so clean. We will definitely be back for multiple trips next year and can't wait to book again. In our 10 years of camping experience this is the best campsite we have stayed at. See you next year!

Disliked: Nothing everything was perfect

The Buzzard rental tent (hanging)

Liked: Well what can I say, we ended up at tree tops and train tracks because the glamping site I booked with originally cancelled and I’m so glad they did because this was such an amazing experience for my 3 9 year old grand children. We stayed in the buzzard tree top tent, 3 layers suspended in the trees 20 foot up, an amazing experience and memory for the kids for sure, the site is beautiful. Seb and his family have worked so hard to make it what it is and I feel things will only get better in the future , if you’re looking for something with a bit of a difference then this is the place for you . The shower/toilet cubical which were an old train carriage were the cleanest toilets I’ve ever come across !! Keep up the good work guys . Sorry we left without saying goodbye but a vomiting bug meant we made an early get away xx

Disliked: Traffic noise was quite obvious but tolerable, Shame that the forest is currently out of bounds due to no fault of the hosts (tree disease) as this made the site quite small we were looking forward to exploring the forests

The Buzzard rental tent (hanging)

Liked: Had a great time - stayed in the Buzzard which was an experience! Kids flew up and down the ladder and the adults got up and down with a lot of laughs! Cozy site was ideal for a one off experience and good location for visiting north wales. Toilet and shower facilities were the best I've seen absolutely spotless. Storage box provided at all pitches which was really thoughtful. Friendly welcome and logs brought to our pitch directly which was kind.

Disliked: The Buzzard was on a very steep incline - tent was fine as obviously high up in the air but only small area for table/chairs. The middle layer of the Buzzard was open to the outside - mosquito net in place but fastened at 3 points so need to be extremely careful (the upper layer was completely secure for children). Ladder was rope and very wobbly with a rung missing.

Liked: Loved the calm and peaceful vibe. Great toilet and shower facilities. Perfect set up with fire pits and a covered lodge for the teenagers to hang out in and play board games. Close to waterfalls, beaches, bookshops and icecream parlours.

Local attractions

For a day at the beach, head to Rhyl (half an hour’s drive), where a vast (at least at low tide) expanse of sand ought to make the kids happy, whether they choose to dip in and out of the water, fly kites or build sandcastles. The SeaQuarium includes an outdoor habitat for harbour seals. Founded by the Romans, Chester (35 minutes) is home to Britain’s largest Roman amphitheatre, plus well-preserved city walls. The ornate Eastgate Clock sits where the entrance to the ancient Roman fortress once stood, while the Dewa Roman Discovery Centre displays artefacts unearthed locally. Snowdonia may be an active person’s dream destination, with hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty, mountain-biking at Antur Stiniog, paddleboarding and canoeing on Llyn Tegid lake (which is also a popular spot for fishing), plus outfits like Zip World Fforest and Zip World Llechwedd.
