There’s so much to do around Nant Ucha Farm, a park in stunning Denbighshire countryside, that you’ll probably stay for days. The aire is set on a peaceful farm with spectacular hill and valley views, and it’s close to famed attractions including Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (five minutes’ drive), the Panorama Mountain (10 minutes), which looks over in seven counties from the hilltop, and the busy tourist town of Llangollen (15 minutes) During your stay on the spacious hardstanding pitches, you can have fresh free-range eggs every day for breakfast – they’re available from the Cluck ’n’ Collect honesty box by the entrance to the farm. There are no on-site toilet facilities, so you must have your own onboard chemical toilet. The parking area is also used by motorbike-trials riders, who range in age from two to 85 years old, from complete beginners to professional world-class riders. It’s well-worth the short walk down to the woods to watch them ride – they’re all very respectful of other users while practising their skills in the woods, and they keep the trails clear of brambles so you can enjoy woodland walks too. Tucked into the Dee Valley, the village of Acrefair (five minutes) has a welcoming pub with a small beer garden, while Llangollen is a lively visitor hub with a butchers, greengrocers, bakery and plenty of cafés, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. There’s also a big supermarket in Cefn-mawr (10 minutes).

Unpowered gravel and concrete motorhome site

Liked: Rural

Disliked: It fails to disclaime on here that the site it a bike trail track, so most weekend and during the week you will have multiple dirt bikes zooming past your motorhome. Sunday morning from 8am until I checked out early without a refund that evening at 6pm.

There are no facilities and the water at the parking area is for the dirt bikes to clean their tires. This is sadly more aimed at them and is not a camp site in any sense of the word .

From the manager: What a completely bizarre review!!
Rikki and his partner booked 3 nights through pitchup arriving on Friday 14th March.
They wanted to stay a few nights longer and paid me cash, then a few more nights, then a few more nights. So the initial 3 nights became 10 nights, which was paid in full. I did not charge extra for the 2nd vehicle which they brought without request. Extra vehicles are £10 each extra per night.
At 4.32pm today Sunday 23rd March I had a message that they were leaving because it was too noisy all week. Not one mention of any problems prior to today!!
Also the advert DOES mention the area is shared with trials bikes. The advert also states that we DO NOT offer facilities.
Despite this we kindly allowed top up with filtered UV treated drinking water and toilet emptying at no extra cost.
Check out is midday, no later. The guests left at 6pm expecting a refund for one night at £10.
We are NOT a campsite, nor do we advertise as one. We are an AIRE, with no facilities. We cater for self contained motorhome stopovers only,

Nice spot but spoiled by farm vehicle movements and the motorbikes.

Liked: Safe spot that’s reasonably easy to find.
Owner was pleasant.

Disliked: You are parked on the edge of a wide track that is used by farm vehicles and vans for the trial bikers.
The site mentions that awnings are ok but I’m not sure that’s there’s enough space.
The track was in regular use whilst I was there with a tractor going to and fro carrying rubble and dumping it at the end of the track.
Also there were trial bikes revving up when I got there and they came back in the morning.
Peaceful it was not, for the lack of facilities you may as well park up in a secluded lay-by and save the money.
That said it was nice and quiet after dark and you could hear the nocturnal wildlife.

Unpowered gravel and concrete motorhome site

Liked: Well what do you expect for £10? It’s a hard standing area by a field on a farm. Yes there’s some farm equipment and stuff around but lovely rolling lush green field to look out on, next to a wooded area that has a walk down to a babbling brook. My dog and I loved it!! And the view on the drive up was breathtaking.

Liked: Nice quiet spot, an open field (for animals to roam) on one side, and a wooded area on the other.

Pitch is as described, a small, quiet, fenced off, gravel section, and you park up in a convenient spot.

Perfect for a couple or if you're on your own and need a quiet spot for the night.

Disliked: Not a place to bring your children.

Single or couples only is what I'd state.

Unfortunately theres nothing there, just you and your van. So make sure you take what you need with you.

No one came over to see me and talk me through anything so I wasn't sure where I could go or what there was on site, so I went with gut instincts and stayed in area we where told to park up.

They mentioned some woods (next to the pitches where motorbikes go) that you can explore, but you literally walk about 100 yards and its a dead end, you can see loads of fallen trees. So don't expect to be gone for ages walking through the woods because you literally can't. I took my 2 young boys who wanted to go off and explore but where disappointed when I had to turn them around and walk back.

The field opposite is fenced off and had an electeic wire across the top, so you don't have access to use it, but the gate was open so I played for half hour by the gate with my boys and football until sundown before we went back the van.

Phone signal for me was rubbish, struggled finding a connection when me and the boys wanted to watch a film before bed.

Sharp turn to get on to the access road, so bare that in mind.
