  • Wild-style hammock or tent camping in Corwen Forest
  • Corwen five minutes' drive; 20 minutes to Llangollen
  • One-acre woodland site for exclusive use with basic facilities
Can you hear that? It's the call of the wilds of Wales – and if you listen carefully, you may well find it guiding you to this all-natural woodland site in Denbighshire. Wild Hammocks, as its name suggests, is all about back to basics tent and hammock camping in a rural environment, but with the convenience of being within a five-minute drive or 15-minute walk of Corwen's pubs, restaurants and shops. This site is located at the end of a mile-long forest track in Corwen Forest off the B4401, so there'll be next to no manmade noise to disturb you here. Booking Wild Hammocks gives you free range of this one-acre woodland site, and as this is an exclusive use location, you'll have the whole place to yourself. Wander through the woods and follow your ears until you come to the stream a few minutes' walk from base, or speak to your host about organising crash courses in bushcraft to help you make the most of your time here. Bring a hammock and set it up between the trees, or take advantage of the flat areas in the woodland to pitch a tent on the forest floor. Either way, basic facilities are provided, including a composting toilet, a storage tarp to keep your kit dry, a raised firepit suitable for cooking and a table with a sink. Water is provided daily in containers.
