  • Busy family park within easy reach of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl
  • Close to the beach at Abergele
  • Pool, playground, bar, restaurant and takeaway
Thrills in Rhyl or getting out to play in Colwyn Bay: both are in easy reach of Ty Mawr Holiday Park on the north Wales coast – along with gorgeous beaches, market towns, charismatic castles, and the inspiring scenery of the Welsh mountains. This buzzing, family-oriented park is great for kids: they’ll spend hours whizzing down the flume into the indoor pool and running around the large outdoor playground, and can join Sparky the rabbit and his Krew in the free kids’ clubs for all ages. There are also plenty of organised sports activities on offer. In the evenings, the whole family can enjoy a knees-up at the all-singing, all-dancing entertainment bar, where live bands and cabaret make a regular appearance, as well as fun theme nights and competitions. The various food options on site include plenty of takeaway choices at the Rendezvous diner and the Boathouse bar and restaurant. Modern amenities include toilets, showers and heated changing areas.

Warren powered grass caravan site

Liked: Staff friendly and helpful

Disliked: Motorhome/ touring pull in area blocked by static caravans for sale so had to exit and return to the site 3 times before managing to check in. Grass pitches all water logged and churned up from vehicles being stuck.

Liked: We overall enjoyed our stay. Like that there was plenty to do. Entertainment was great. Plenty of places to eat.

Disliked: The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the goring pitches were quite boggy and the toilets were a bit drab and dirty.

Meadows powered grass caravan site

Liked: The staff were lovely and the site had everything you needed and more. There is onsite live entertainment and swimming pool. The facilities were clean and tidy including showers and toilets.

Disliked: The only thing I did not like was that the campsite had a lot of large puddles and mud. There was a lot of rain which is not the sites fault obviously, but they may be able to add better drainage, or hard standing which does not puddle. Also the numbers for the pitches were difficult to see and many were worn and difficult to read.
