What customers say

A lovely, quiet rural spot with great views. Campers rave about the super-friendly owners, clean amenities and brilliant campfires. Perfect for walks, with pubs nearby. Basic but tidy facilities; some found showers a bit poky.

Liked Level pitches and good public transport links to major walks especially in the Brecons. Host went above and beyond to accommodate due to the horrible weather during my stay.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked We were greeted on arrival, shown the campsite and facilities and allowed to leave the bikes by the tent. Shower and toilets were clean and had very hot water and the site had lovely views as described. We walked to the near by pub for drinks and delicious food. Overall an excellent campsite and will definitely return.

Local attractions

Getting out into the national park is a doddle – get your boots on for the hour-long hike to Henrhyd Waterfall, perhaps, or climb the Cribarth hill (Sleeping Giant) which overlooks the site. There are also riding stables a mile away. For something a bit more leisurely, take the 15-minute walk from site to Craig-y-Nos Country Park for a wander around the 40-acre park’s lake and meadows and a visit to Craig-y-Nos Castle and its listed theatre (once owned by famed opera singer Adelina Patti). A five-minute drive from the site takes you to the National Showcaves Centre for Wales, which has in the past been voted one of the UK’s best attractions – after you've delved underground, take the kids to the dino exhibit to see loads of life-sized model-sauruses. If you're yearning for a breath of sea air, it'll take you less than an hour to drive to the Gower Peninsula for some of the UK's best beaches.
