  • Simple hardstanding motorhome pitches at a small Llanymynech site
  • Welshpool and Powis Castle within a 25-minute drive
  • Easy access from the A483; Offa's Dyke Path passes just outside
Sometimes all you need is a simple stopover spot in a scenic area… and that’s what you’ll get when you take your motorhome to Maes Offa, in a handy Powys location just off the A483 at Llanymynech. That location isn’t just handy for getting on and off the road – it also puts you within a mile of several takeaways for easy meals (Chinese, fish and chips and pizza among them), plus a café and a pub-restaurant. Also close by is a petrol station with a convenience store where you can pick up picnic supplies, snacks and drinks for an evening back at base. Picnic supplies and snacks are handy things to have around here, as this is a splendidly scenic area that lends itself well to hikes and cycle outings. As the site name suggests, the Offa’s Dyke Path passes just outside – and there are plenty of other places to get out for a walk nearby, including the banks of the Vyrnwy river and the Llanymynech Heritage Area. Maes Offa is a small site with just a handful of hardstanding motorhome pitches that make a good base for an overnight stopoff or a couple of days exploring the area. There are no toilet or waste facilities on site but you’ll have access to a recycling area and an outside water tap. Dogs are welcome to join you for a stay here (and several walks through the scenic surroundings…)

Power optional concrete slab motorhome site

Liked: By local shops and garage. Canal walk. Owners very helpful. No showers or toilets as stated. Recycling. Water. Vehicles over 7.5 would struggle with manoeuvres. Road busy behind site but didn't bother us. Electric hook up too.
