  • Spacious farm site by the coast 10 minutes' drive from Aberteifi
  • Easy access to Ceredigion Coast Path; 20 minutes' walk from Mwnt beach
  • Sea views and private cove for spotting dolphins and birds
Care to head to Ceredigion, for coastal walks, crowd-free beaches, castles… maybe even catching a glimpse of a passing pod of dolphins? What a cracking idea. And an even more cracking idea is nabbing a few days at Nant-y-croi, on the coast between Aberteifi and Aberporth. If it's easy access to the coast you’re after, you’re in the right place: the Ceredigion Coast Path crosses the farm, for an easy meander to Mwnt beach, 20 minutes away. Even before you set forth for that stroll there are super sea views to be had from the site; gaze out towards the waves for a while and you may well spot the seals, dolphins and seabirds that often pass by these parts. This is a properly peaceful place, but niftily also within easy reach of plenty of ways to fill your West Wales days: more beaches, boat trips, canoeing, golf are all nearby, and you’re well placed for outings to Cilgerran Castle, Cenarth Falls and lots of other scenic spots. For eats, you’re welcome to light up a sea-view barbecue; pick up supplies 10 minutes away in Aberteifi and stash them in the fridge-freezer until it’s coals o’clock. Other amenities on site include a washing-up area, launderette and toilets and showers.

What customers say

Stunning sea views & direct coastal path access; guests loved the dolphins. Spacious pitches, tidy facilities (basic for some). Owners are a highlight! Peaceful, remote feel, but single-track access & wind are factors.

Liked This is a great place, saw dolphins in the sea while there, all facilities were clean and little extras like washing powder for the laundry room and sprays in the toilets were appreciated

Liked Perfect location, we’ve been many places before but this one is the best so far. Great view, early morning dolphines spotting. Facilities are good and clean. Not overcrowded at all. Peaceful 🫶🏼

Liked Lovely site. facilities very clean Views are amazing. Plenty of walks from the site along coastal paths. Lack of internet wasn’t ideal when you have teenagers with you! But my husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet! Would recommend and will definitely return.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Friendly owners, 3 different fields to choose from and very well explained. The views, wow!! Amazing. It was just me and my husband but we noticed they had a playground and a giant checkers and connect four available to play. Direct access to the coastal path and from our pitch we could see the sunset and sunrise.

Disliked Nothing. There was no signal which some people might not like but it was great to just arrive and switch off (we did choose the furthest field so not sure if there is WiFi closer)

Liked Lovely views, nice and quiet.

Beautiful sunset.

There was a kitchen area with kettle, air fryer, microwave (not that we used it) but good to know it was there.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

The kids loved the park and spent most of their time there.

Lots of birds to watch and nice seeing the cows and horses in the fields around the campsite.

Liked Beautiful views of the coast. Easy check in process. Facilities were basic - showers and toilets - but were kept clean. Kitchen area was a nice addition. Our kids loved the play area. We were only there two nights so didn’t get around to see the animals unfortunately. I loved that once it went dark, it went quiet on the site and the stargazing opportunities were incredible!!! No light pollution at all and we were lucky with clear skies.
Unfortunately during our stay, a group decided to blare music around 10.30pm. The owners dealt with the issue promptly and the quiet was restored. This was great as we had two young children with us.

Disliked The WiFi did dip now and again. We had no signal on the site so we relied on it to make plans with friends who live nearby. But it quickly reconnected.

Liked A beautiful setting, wonderful sea view, so peaceful, well maintained, no litter, no mess, enormous amount of space available to relax, perfect spot to get away from phones and technology. Brilliant pressure in the shower with good temperatures, great recycling feature, cute kids play park, and easy access to coastal path. I wish i had booked longer! Host was wonderful, polite, helpful and very approachable too!

Liked The View. The coastal path is at the bottom of the third field leading to Mwnt (NOT dog friendly in summer) & Cardigan but you do have to take in a bit of road walking that way. We stayed in the top field nearest to toilet/shower block- if there’s wind- it will find you up here! The bottom fields if you can off grid is possibly more sheltered.
Wifi near the facilities building but it’s great to get away from it sometimes.
Eggs available from farm yard but no other local produce that we could see.

Disliked The lanes getting into the site are tight- make sure you are confident at reversing your vehicle/set up. Not a dislike, just an observation!!

Local attractions

Mwnt’s your nearest beach (and mighty lovely it is too), but it’s far from the only sandy stretch worth a visit locally. Also on your list should be Tresaith (20 minutes’ drive), Aberporth (20 minutes), Poppit Sands (25 minutes) and Llangrannog (half an hour). Should you be seeking a bit of exercise along with your sea views, there’s a golf course 10 minutes’ drive away, or you can head into Aberteifi for all sorts of aquatic activity, including surf lessons, sea kayak tours, serene days of paddleboarding or adrenaline-packed coasteering adventures. If you’ve not managed to spot dolphins from the site, you may have more luck on a boat trip from New Quay (40 minutes). Guaranteed sightings of friendly farm animals are five minutes’ drive away at Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park; they’re even friendlier if you feed them. Seals can often be seen basking on the shore here, too. Away from the coast, it’ll take you 20 minutes or so to drive to 13th-century Cilgerran Castle, the Welsh Wildlife Centre and the National Coracle Centre at Cenarth Falls.
