What customers say
Reviews mention a large, open car park site, with some finding it unsafe due to boy racers and late-night noise. While hotel staff are praised and toilets are clean, others find the area run-down. Theme park access is a plus for some families. Manager feedback is noted.

Was told to pitch my tent in the public carpark, that was after lots of confusion as to there being a campsite which none of the M&D staff were aware of.
I have sent a formal email to yourselves with pictures.
Felt so unsafe as no other campers there and advised carpark used for unsavoury activities.
This is a council carpark so why pay $20 per night.
Would never recommend this site to even my worst enemy

Recommend for groups and larger families, easy access to theme park
Unpowered grass and gravel tent or trailer tent site
Liked Was a lovely location with accurate instructions and reasonably close toilets, if you have mobility issues then you can drive round to them.
A quite private area surrounded by trees and wildlife, we had a fox watching us on 1 of the evenings.
Very close to the theme park with a closer, camping, access point.
After the rides stopped it was very quiet.
If we had more time we would’ve definitely liked to explore the Strathclyde park.
Bin bag was supplied, with instructions for collection.
Wonderful for a large family / group gathering.
Disliked It felt very exposed, there are no boundary’s and the joggers and dog walkers were strolling through, so entirely open access, with just myself and my son I felt quite uneasy at times.
Optional electrics would be nice.
Small amount of midgies in the evening, not much at all though.

Friendly hotel staff nearby
Unpowered concrete slab motorhome site
Liked Staff from the hotel nearby was excellent en extremely helpful.
Disliked Near a hotel with wedding venue, when there is a party it's impossible to get sleep from the loud music. You only get a parking spot, and toilet nearby.

Disliked Awful, we had to leave at 20:30 due to a function being held in the adjacent hall. The park was closed and quiet but the wedding we felt was going to go on for hours. It was an African wedding and the MC on the microphone had a booming voice and was relentless 🤣 The volume was much higher than usual. They all sounded like they were having fun but wouldn’t have made for a good nights sleep. Coupled with seagulls which were everywhere picking up the left over rubbish. And the neds on motorcycles and quad bikes zooming around 😳😩
