What customers say

Great, friendly spot, ideal peaceful stopover or adventure base. Really clean, well-equipped facilities (spacious showers, kitchen). Beautiful grounds, secluded location. Helpful staff. Value dipped when hotel restaurant closed. Sewerage smell reported near building work.

Liked Easy park and hook up. Great facilities, such as nice big shower room, great shower. Very clean with cleaning essentials there to ensure that it’s to clean after each use. Easy to book. Beautiful setting in lovely hotel grounds. Very friendly place to stay.

Disliked A bit creepy at night with a male dummy dressed in a tuxedo at the bedroom window 😱.

Local attractions

As well as fishing available on site, Ledgowan is close to a range of Highland highlights including golf, horse riding, climbing and mountain biking. The village of Achnasheen has a studio gallery and café, and can be used as a base for exploring most of the Highlands from Kinlochewe and Gairloch to the west, Lochcarron to the south west and the glacial deltas of the Achnasheen Terraces to the south. The site is within easy driving distance of several mountain ranges including the Torridon and Fannich ranges, and the mountain Fionn Bheinn is on the doorstep. Cycle hire is available on site for those who prefer to explore on two wheels, or if exploring by foot there are several longish walking trails around the area. Attractions such as the Official Loch Ness Monster Exhibition and events including the Ullapool Guitar Festival are about half an hour’s drive away, or if you want to stick closer to home, there’s the option of doing what many visitors to Ledgowan do, and zipping up the hill on a quad bike…
